⛳ Member Visit Spotlight: GOLF PEI

We recently had the opportunity to visit with CEO Sam MacPhail and the team at Golf PEI to learn more about the organization's role in promoting Prince Edward Island as a premier golf destination.

One of the biggest takeaways? Golf tourism generates $107 million annually for PEI's economy, making it one of the province's most significant tourism sectors.

Golf PEI represents 18 member courses across the Island and helps visitors plan their golf experiences through tee time bookings and vacation packages available directly through its website.

We also checked out Fairway Finds Shop featuring golf apparel, footwear, and accessories.

Thank you to Sam and the Golf PEI team for the warm welcome and for the work you do to showcase PEI to visitors from around the world.

Did you know Provincial Realty is the largest 100% locally owned, independent real estate advisory firm on PEI? 🏡

We’re celebrating their 10-year Member-versary with the GCACC, AND they’re also celebrating their 10th anniversary on PEI.

We did a Q&A with Sharon Laybolt to find out more about their Chamber journey, what community means to them, and what’s coming up in their next chapter.

Here’s a sneak peek at what Sharon had to say:
“The Chamber creates opportunities to connect with other business leaders, learn from different industries, and work together toward common goals. Those connections have been invaluable in helping us grow our business while staying engaged in the broader community.”

A new economic impact study by GOLF PEI and Jupia Consultants found that golf drew an estimated one in seven visitors to PEI in 2025 and contributed $107 million to our provincial economy.

➡️The study also found that the industry supported 1,800 jobs and generated over $26 million in provincial and municipal tax revenue in 2025, helping fund health care, schools, and public services across the Island.

⛳️That makes golf one of the Island's biggest tourism draws, and a powerful engine for the local businesses, restaurants, and communities that benefit when visitors arrive.

👏Congratulations to Chamber member Golf PEI on this fantastic report.

From prenatal classes and birth prep to postpartum healing, breastfeeding support, yoga, and mother support circles, they offer something truly rare on the Island: whole-person care for the whole motherhood journey.

The Census gives Canadians the high-quality data that shapes real decisions, for our families, our neighbourhoods, and our businesses right here on PEI.

It's also one of the tools we use in our advocacy work. When we make the case for our members and our business community, strong data is important.

Have you filled out yours yet? 👇

The has begun! Look for your census letter in the mail. Census data paint a portrait of Canadians and their stories – from small communities to entire provinces and territories.

Twenty years of membership, community and impact.🏡

We're proud to celebrate Habitat for Humanity PEI’s 20-year member-versary with the GCACC.

👉We did a Q&A with Office Manager & Executive Assistant, Izzy Fitzpatrick, to hear about their Chamber experience, clear up some ReStore PEI myths, and look ahead to what's coming next:

“We appreciate the connection to Charlottetown’s vibrant business community, as well as the steadfast advocacy efforts of the Chamber that make Charlottetown a great place to live and work.”

“ReStore PEI customers may not know that the store is Habitat PEI’s social enterprise, meaning that the revenue generated from sales helps us create more affordable homeownership opportunities for Island families.”
