Our sweet Stanley is fighting for his life, and we desperately need your help! ❤️
Stanley came into the care of Heidi’s Kitty Haven on September 28, 2026, with what we initially believed was a urinary blockage. He spent 24 hours in the veterinary hospital, where it was determined that he had a severe urinary tract infection.
After a week of antibiotics, Stanley underwent his neuter surgery. We thought he was finally on the road to recovery, but just 36 hours after surgery, something was terribly wrong.
Stanley still wasn’t eating, so we brought him to our regular veterinarian for further examination and bloodwork.
During his examination, our veterinarian noticed something extremely concerning. Stanley was very unsteady on his feet, particularly his back legs, and was actually falling over. 💔
After reviewing his symptoms and bloodwork, our veterinarian suspected something far more serious.
💔 Stanley has been diagnosed with neurological FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).
For those unfamiliar with FIP, it is a devastating disease that, without treatment, is almost always fatal. Neurological FIP affects the nervous system, causing symptoms such as difficulty walking, loss of coordination and weakness.
Thankfully, there is hope! ❤️
Stanley was immediately started on GS-441524, a life-saving antiviral medication that has given so many FIP cats a second chance at life.
We are determined to give Stanley that same chance!

In less than two weeks, Stanley has already endured so much. He should be enjoying his new life, feeling safe and loved, instead of fighting this terrible disease.
