The Women's Centre of Calgary has connected with more than 52,000 women, providing resources, advocacy, and a place to belong.

They fill gaps larger systems can't.
Emma House (Inn from the Cold) has supported 200+ expectant mothers experiencing or at risk of homelessness with safe housing and holistic care.

They adapt quickly.
Highbanks Society provides flexible, trauma-informed support for 30+ young families as they work toward stability and independence.

They provide personalized support.
The Safe Haven Foundation of Canada has helped 130+ youth build brighter futures through housing, education, employment, and life skills.

IRIS has never been just one story.

It’s been Springtime Renewal in 2023 in support of Emma House (Inn from the Cold), a moment rooted in softness, growth, and beginning again.

In 2024, Miami Heat brought a different energy — bold, vibrant, alive — supporting Highbanks Society and the strength it takes to keep going.

And in 2025, 1920s Tinseltown carried a sense of nostalgia and glamour, in support of Safe Haven Foundation, where every detail held space for resilience beneath the surface.

Each year has looked different. Each theme has carried its own intention. But the thread between them has always been the same: community, creativity, and showing up for something bigger than the moment itself.

This year, we took time to reshape what IRIS looks like for the future, honouring where we’ve been while exploring what’s possible next.

IRIS is more than a name, it’s a symbol.

Rooted in the iris flower, it represents strength, wisdom, hope, and transformation. A bloom that appears delicate, yet returns season after season with resilience.

Those qualities sit at the heart of who we are: creating space for growth, connection, and community. For stories that deserve to be heard and for change that happens over time.

IRIS is a reminder that transformation doesn’t happen all at once. It unfolds gradually, through courage, support, and the collective impact of people coming together.
