Ujamaa Grandmas

Ujamaa Grandmas Ujamaa Grandmas is a group of over 300 women in Calgary, Alberta and area who are part of the Stephen Lewis Foundation's Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.

Ujamaa Grandmas is a Calgary-based non-profit society that raises funds and awareness in support of African grandmothers who are raising children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. We hold fundraising events throughout the year and have a Speakers' Bureau to provide presentations about the work of the Foundation with grandmothers and orphans in sub-Saharan Africa. There, grassroots projects receive funding to provide food, housing, school fees, grief counselling, and HIV/AIDS education.

🥰 An enormous Thank You to each and every one of you that made this year's Annual Fabric & Yarn (and more!) sale such a great success! 🌍 All of the proceeds from it will be going to the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign 🫶

Saturday join us from 10:30am-5pm for Day 2 of our 2026 Annual Fabric & Yarn Sale 🙌🎉

There is a sporting event taking place near by and parking may be more challenging than expected. We suggest planning a bit of extra time and and bringing something that might aid you in carrying your purchases. (We've seen people with rolly baskets, wagons, and suitcases!)

There are still LOADS of items for you to come and shop from and TONS of fun to be had - Volunteers are looking forward to seeing you all!! No tickets required, a $2 admission fee will be included in your purchase 🤗
