Abbeyfield Caledon Abbeyfield is an International society dedicated to providing older people with affordable, companionable and secure housing.

The Abbeyfield Caledon House is located in a peaceful, rural area of the Town of Caledon in the village of Caledon East, just north of Toronto. The House offers an independent, affordable living alternative in a warm family style environment. The House provides Residents with a balance between privacy, companionship, security, and independence. Abbeyfield Caledon is home to 12 Residents. Suites are available and applications are now being accepted.

As of April 1, 2026, eligible residents will get a 50 per cent subsidy on single PRESTO fares when travelling on Brampton Transit.

The expansion introduces a new subsidy on single PRESTO fares for adults, youth and seniors (Caledon residents only), while continuing the subsidized adult monthly PRESTO pass.

The program now includes Caledon residents travelling on Brampton Transit buses, helping more people access employment, education and community services across the region.

The House provides residents with a balance between privacy, companionship, safety and independence.

Are you a fan of your alone time? Residents have privacy whenever they want it! Each resident has a private bed/sitting room with ensuite bathroom. Tenants furnish the rooms themselves and if they choose to they can bring a small bar fridge and may arrange to have cable TV in their room.
