🎨 Embrace creativity during Culture Days 2026!

Artists, performers, workshop leaders, organizations, and community groups are invited to help bring Culture Days 2026 to life. Enjoy talent through performances, workshops, exhibitions, the Caledon Studio Tour, or the Caledon Creative Arts Festival and help showcase the creativity that makes Caledon unique.

How much help is too much? Finding a balance is essential…

When an older adult starts needing help with everyday activities, we automatically want to provide as much assistance as we can.

We do this because we want them to be safe, we feel that it’s our duty, or we don’t want them to worry about getting through day-to-day life.

But sometimes, these thoughtful instincts could backfire. Sometimes in our eagerness to keep our older adult safe, we end up helping too much.

But because our older adult is declining in ability or they switch between good days and bad, it’s essential to find a balance between helping too much or too little.

Here is one way to help while also encouraging senior independence…

If you have ever been curious about the rooms at Abbeyfield Caledon…it is time for a room tour! 🗺️

Abbeyfield is a non-profit seniors’ residence that provides companionship in an affordable and safe home-like setting.

Abbeyfield offers individual private rooms that are air conditioned and heated seasonally, for all 12 residents.

The are also shared indoor living spaces, as well as the outdoor courtyard, available for social times.

Making connections just became much easier!

The Town of Caledon is taking another step toward offering residents sustainable transit options through a new partnership with Argo Transit. Through this pilot partnership, an on-demand ride service will be available within select communities.

Starting in Fall 2026, the 15-month pilot program will introduce Argo’s on-demand transit service in Caledon, enabling riders to pre-book trips or request rides in real time through a mobile app or by phone.

The pilot will serve Bolton, Caledon East, and Mayfield West/Southfields, enabling the Town to evaluate the performance of an on-demand transit model within the local context. The service will also provide connections to Brampton Transit, York Region Transit, and GO Transit.

The pilot supports our broader transportation objectives by expanding transit options to improve mobility and accessibility within the Town while also broadening connections to neighbouring transit services and communities by exploring solutions that can adapt to changing travel patterns in one of Ontario’s fastest-growing communities.
