We’ve been busy planting so many native plants with the help of our amazing partners ( and ) & volunteers who don’t shy away from the SȽEMEW̱!

Over three different days, we have planted over 20 different native species. This includes SȽEQȺ (Dune grass), ḰȽO¸EL ( camas), ȾEX̱EN¸ (June plum), SḴEX̱ (Nodding onion), and S₭ELÁṈEW̱ (Trailing blackberry) 🌱🪏🌧️

Looking back, the ĆENQOLEW moon cycle was full of so many different forms of restoration.

Mulching, collecting data for future projects, salvaging native plants, collaborating with other restoration teams, removing invasive species, harvesting ḰȽO,EL, and installing native species are all ways that we can contribute to healing the ecosystems we work in!

Following the seasonal changes and conducting appropriate work during each moon means that each month of work looks so different! What has restoration looked like for you this month? 🌫️🕸️🐾🌕

We are now in the PEKELÁNEW̱ moon, and further shifting our restoration practices. If you’re interested in learning more, you can read about the 13 moon cycle through the W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Councils website.
