Remembering and Reflecting: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🦅

Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, honouring children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and their families. Orange Shirt Day, led by Indigenous communities, raises awareness about the intergenerational impacts of residential schools; the orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem, reminding us that “Every Child Matters.”

At CPF BC & Yukon, we recognize the importance of reflecting on this history and its ongoing impacts. To learn more and access resources, visit: Canada.ca – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
