🚗 FOOD PICKUP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ❤️

Every week, we receive food donations that help feed families across our community.

Right now, we are looking for more volunteers to help with food pickups around the GTA, especially near the Mississauga/Toronto border.

Many of these donations are time-sensitive, and having enough pickup volunteers means more food can reach families instead of going to waste.

Even a few hours of your time can make a real difference. ❤️

“Best before” does not mean “unsafe after.”

Best before dates are mostly about taste, flavor, and texture, not food safety.
Don't discard food just because of a printed date, contributing to unnecessary food waste.

In Canada, true expiration dates are only required on a small number of products such as infant formula, medication, and certain nutritional supplements.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), best before dates “do not indicate food safety,” but rather when an unopened product may begin to lose some of its taste or texture if stored properly.
