Thanks everyone who made it down to our World Cup Launch Party yesterday at TBCA. It was great to see everybody getting into the summer of soccer spirit.

Special thanks to Tunstall Bay Community Association for hosting us and to Erik and Millers Meatcraft for cooking all of our burgers for us!

In just a few hours the 2026 World Cup kicks off in Mexico, but things really get going tomorrow in Toronto when Canada play their first ever World Cup game on home soil.

We’re bringing everyone together to start the World Cup and have organized a Launch Party at Tunstall Bay Beach Club (1666 Tunstall Blvd) for soccer fans on Bowen Island on Saturday June 13. We’ll be kicking things off at noon with an open door policy come and go as you please and bring the whole family!

Running Order:
* 12:00pm Doors open
* 12:00pm – First match showing (Qatar v Switzerland),
* 1.30pm - BBQ starts and food is served
* 2:00pm – Soccer challenges outside with BIFC prizes available (adults and children welcome to play!)
* 3:00pm – Showpiece match begins (Brazil v Morocco) - Food still served for anyone wanting to eat!)
* 3:45pm - Half-time
* 5:00pm - We’ll likely start wrapping up after the 3:00pm match at around 5pm as people head out through the evening.

FREE ADULT SOCCER NIGHT - JUNE 11

You might have noticed that the Spring co-ed season was originally scheduled to end yesterday. But with the World Cup kicking off on June 11th, and lots of eager players, we are adding 3 sessions to close out our Spring Season and bridge the gap to Summer (which kicks off on June 15th).
 
Added Sessions:
Monday June 8th (7:30pm - 9pm)
Wednesday June 10th (7:30pm - 9pm)
Thursday June 11th (6:30pm - 8pm)
 
Free Session / Watch Party - June 11th

On June 11th, we’ll be ending the Spring Season with a free session for all, followed by a football centred pub-session to celebrate the start of the 2026 World Cup. Co-ed will run from 6:30pm to 8pm, which will allow us to catch the last 30 minutes of South Korea vs Czechia at the Bowen Pub.
 
Got any friends or family who aren’t yet football fans? This is the perfect opportunity to get them hooked. No registration or entry fee needed. What better way to catch a good old case of World Cup fever!
