Welcome to Wiggle & Play 🤍

Wiggle & Play Community is a nonprofit created to support caregivers and their little ones through the early years, because we believe caring for caregivers matters, too.

Through welcoming play spaces, community connection, local resources and support, we're creating opportunities for caregivers to connect, feel supported and build their village. All while their little ones play, explore and grow.

Let’s talk BIG feelings. 🤍

The meltdowns. The challenging behaviours. The “I have absolutely no idea what I’m supposed to do right now” moments.. 😅

Little people can have some very big feelings, and figuring out how to handle & support them while trying to manage our own emotions can be a lot.

That’s why we’re so excited to welcome Registered Psychotherapist Brooke Chesher Counselling and Psychotherapy as our September Village Expert! 🌿

Brooke will be joining us at Wiggle & Play for a relaxed, informal morning where caregivers can ask questions, join the conversation, or simply hangout while their little ones play.

Bring any questions about big emotions, challenging behaviours, emotional regulation, parenting stress and those harder moments that so many of us navigate behind the scenes.

No presentation. No pressure. No expectation that your toddler will sit quietly while we talk. 😂 Just real conversation, helpful support and a room full of people who get it.

Our fall children's programs begin with this Saturday's Kids' Club and our weekly Early Literacy Programs next week.

Well… this feels pretty big

Wiggle & Play is officially Wiggle & Play Community, an incorporated not-for-profit 🎉

What started as a simple idea to create an easy place where parents could get out of the house, drink a coffee, meet another mom & feel a little less alone has grown into something I never really expected.

But the heart of it hasn't changed.

Wiggle & Play Community exists to help reduce caregiver isolation during the early years of parenthood. We do this by creating welcoming, inclusive & accessible opportunities to connect, build friendships & find your community (the village).

There are lots of programs focused on our little ones (which is SO important!), but Wiggle & Play has always been about making sure the people raising them have a place too ♥️

Becoming a not-for-profit opens the door for us to build more community partnerships, improve access to supports, seek funding & create even more opportunities for families to participate, all while keeping connection at the centre of everything we do.

I'm incredibly proud of how far this has come.

This is just the beginning for Wiggle & Play Community.

Just popping in to say hi 👋🏼🤎

It's been a little quieter over here lately, mostly because I’ve been soaking up these last few weeks of summer with my girls before we’re back into full routines, school mornings & all the fall chaos. ☀️

But we’re still here, still wiggling, & we’ll be at Press Play Café tomorrow morning! ☕️

Come grab a coffee, let the littles play, & enjoy a slow morning with us. No plans, no pressure. Just a reason to get out of the house & spend some time with your village.

A little scheduling note: there will be no Wiggle & Play this Thursday, so tomorrow morning is your chance to get those wiggles out with us this week!

✨ Meet Our Village Expert ✨

We're so excited to welcome The Mama Coach - Stephanie Cote RN, IBCLC & Pediatric Sleep Consultant to Wiggle & Play!

Whether you're preparing for your feeding journey, navigating the newborn days, working through challenges, weaning, or simply have questions, this is a chance to connect in a relaxed, judgment-free space.

As always, there's no formal presentation & no pressure, just open conversation while little ones play. Ask questions, listen, share experiences, or simply come enjoy a morning surrounded by other caregivers who understand this season of life.

Because sometimes the best support isn't just the answers.. It's knowing you don't have to figure it all out alone 🤍

At first glance, Wiggle & Play might look like another playgroup.

But that's never really been the point.

Yes, there are toys. Yes, little ones play, & make new friends.. But the play is simply what creates the space.

The heart of Wiggle & Play is the caregivers 🤎

It's the conversations that can happen while little hands stay busy. It's finally finishing a warm coffee. It's connecting with others who understand this season of life. It's leaving feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.

There are no crafts to keep up with. No circle time if your child isn't interested. No pressure to participate in structured activities.

Just a welcoming space where children can play freely while caregivers find connection, support, & a moment to simply be.

Because when caregivers thrive, children do too.
