Happy Pride Month! 🌈

As we begin Pride Month, we honour Marsha P. Johnson, whose advocacy helped shape the LGBTQ+ rights movement. Through her work advocating for some of the most marginalized members of the LGBTQ+ community, including trans youth experiencing homelessness and those affected by HIV, she reminded us that true equality must include everyone.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the progress made while continuing to work toward a future where every person can live with dignity, safety, and belonging.

Today, Quinte Health marks our first annual Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Awareness Day.

We lowered our flags in memory of our colleague, Shannan Hickey, and in recognition of all those who have lost their lives to intimate partner violence.

At sunset, our teams will place and light flameless candles in windows and visible spaces across our hospitals—a quiet, shared moment of remembrance.

Her light shines on in how we care for one another. 💜

A heartfelt thank you to Flowers By Dustin for supporting Blooms for Three Oaks! 💐

Throughout the campaign, Flowers By Dustin donated $5 from every featured bouquet sold to support women and children accessing services through Three Oaks, raising an incredible $150!

Our first Blooms for Three Oaks campaign has officially come to a close! We are so grateful for the incredible support shown by our community!

Together, we raised an incredible $5,465.86 to support women and children accessing safety, shelter, and support through Three Oaks.

Join Alternatives for Women and Three Oaks Foundation for a Coaching Boys Into Men Information Session!

This drop-in session is an opportunity to learn more about the CBIM program, how it supports coaches in fostering respectful teams and strong leaders, and how it can be implemented within local sports organizations.

Come by anytime throughout the evening to ask questions, connect with us, and learn more about building positive team culture through sport.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Avondale Flowers & Gifts for their incredible partnership and support throughout Blooms for Three Oaks!

As part of the campaign, Avondale invited customers to add a $5 donation to Three Oaks with their purchases, while also generously committing to match donations up to $2,000!

During the campaign, Avondale shared some incredible news with us. Chris and Selena Lawday of Lawday Development Group Inc. had reached out, wanting to contribute $2,000 in support of Three Oaks!

Thanks to the combined support of Avondale Flowers & Gifts and Lawday Development Group Inc., an incredible $4,000 was donated to Three Oaks through this partnership alone.

Moments like this are such a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with kindness and a shared commitment to supporting survivors. This contribution will help provide safety, shelter, and support to women and children rebuilding their lives after violence.

The Believe Survivors Project was created by the Quinte & District Victims’ Fund in response to the sexual assault trial in London. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of believing survivors in court, the media, and all areas of our lives.

The Quinte & District Victims’ Fund provides financial support to individuals impacted by crime throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. Funding helps address immediate safety needs related to the impact of crime and supports access to services, programs, and assistance when other funding or community resources are unavailable or insufficient.

Together, we can let survivors know they are believed, credible and reliable.
