Land Logic with Tim | Today we're stopping by the rehabilitated pond at Vanderwater Conservation Area sponsored by Ducks Unlimited Canada. This restoration project helps support local wildlife, boost biodiversity, and improve ecosystem health. From frogs and turtles to birds and insects, healthy ponds provide important habitat for many species. 🐸

🪻 Thank you to everyone who supported our Wildflower sale! 🪻

Thanks to our wonderful watershed residents, we sold close to 2,000 native wildflower species. These plants strengthen the Quinte Watershed's biodiversity and help support this region's important pollinator populations. 🐝

Our Conservation Area Feedback Survey is now closed, and we received 31 responses. Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback and experiences with our conservation areas!

Here are a few interesting insights from the survey:

H.R. Frink Conservation Area was the most popular conservation area among respondents
87% of respondents use our conservation areas for hiking and recreation
48% feel our conservation areas meet their needs as a visitor very well
43% would like to see improved trail signage
33% identified trail maintenance as an area for improvement
54% provided additional comments and suggestions to help guide future improvements

Paid parking revenue collected at our conservation areas is reinvested directly back into the properties to support trail maintenance, signage improvements, infrastructure upgrades, conservation projects, and overall visitor experience enhancements.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to participate. Your feedback helps us better understand how our conservation areas are being used and where we can continue to improve visitor experiences.
