provides a variety of volunteer services for the clients and staff of the Quinte Health Care (QHC) Belleville General Hospital (BGH), and for the community at large. BGHA’s fundraising projects are designed to support the in-hospital programs and the work services of the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary and to augment the requested equipment needed at QHC, Belleville General Hospital from time to time.

Special event funding from the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary has resulted in a "NEW" Nurse Call System Console & Display for Belleville General Hospital's Maternal Child Unit. Every second counts in patient care - - the new console and monitor gives the care team the tools they need to respond faster, stay better informed, and keep their focus on what matters most - the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns.

Belleville General Hospital Celebrates a Remarkable Legacy - Quinte Health, the Belleville General Hospital Foundation and the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary proudly celebrated the 140th anniversary of Belleville General Hospital (BGH) on July 20, recognizing a legacy built through the generosity, volunteerism, and commitment of generations of community members. With support from the City of Belleville, Hastings County, local donors and countless community members, fundraising efforts led by the Women's Christian Association made that vision a reality. The cornerstone was laid on September 25, 1884, and on July 20, 1886, BGH officially opened with just eight beds and three nurses. The contract to build both the hospital and the adjoining Home for the Aged totaled $12,274, an extraordinary investment by a community determined to care for its own. From the very beginning, BGH has belonged to its community, not simply as a place where care is delivered, but as a shared responsibility built through generosity, volunteerism, and a belief that healthcare should be available close to home (Excerpt / Photo: QH Health).

The Belleville General Hospital Foundation's 2026 Fairways for Fractures Golf Tournament delivered its largest and most successful tournament to date with $190,000 raised in support of the Fracture Clinic Expansion at Quinte Health, Belleville General Hospital. With an additional pledged gift from the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary, this will close the project’s $1.3M fundraising goal.

The 2026 Fairways for Fractures tournament welcomed over 70 local business and community sponsors and 208 golfers to Black Bear Ridge for a day packed with food, fun and prizes. Despite a "wild" weather event day with gusty winds and on-and-off rain, the golfers still came out to support the Belleville General Hospital Foundation's Fairways for Fracture Golf Tournament on June 18 at Black Bear Ridge. The organizers, sponsors, vendors and volunteers were all ready to play ball knowing the importance of this particular event to reach its fundraising goal. BGH Auxiliary volunteers included (l - r) Paul Reesor, Julie Grant, Beverly Pond and Barb Kiser who were among the many that offered their support for this great cause!
