1st Bedford Scout Group

The 1st Bedford Scout Group is a very active part of Scouts Canada. Leaders are needed too! Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings.

We provide opportunities in Scouting from Beavers level through to Venturers (ages 5-18) - for all youth.

Last weekend our new Venturer Company and 1 older scout hopped into some canoe for a Summer Canoe trip.

It was the perfect 3 day weekend for paddling adventures and hikes to various waterfalls. Ultimately it was a weekend where Scouts can be Scouts without tech, just a bunch of nature, fishing and camp fires.

It’s a great way to set the tone for the upcoming year. ❤️

As a Scouters of this Venturer Company we are proud of the teens they have become and are looking forward to the year ahead full of wild adventures, endless laughter.

Thanks to an amazing parent of one of our Cubs, we received a donation for 2 new windows. This is an epic donation and we are so thankful to have windows that work.

Thank you to Scouter Jason, Heather and Al for helping install them.

It takes a lot of work to keep this cabin going, and the support of our community.

FUN FACT!
When we took out the first window 2 Pennies fell out (see images) .. dated 1943. This was normal back in the day to leave a coin, a stamp, noting the date. This shows potentially that our cabin is over 80 years young and is still going strong. ❤️

Please come out this Saturday (May 30th) to support the 1st Bedford Scouts for Scout Trees!

Special thanks to Canadian Tire, Sunnyside Mall, Bedford Place Mall, and the Bedford Atlantic Superstore for supporting our event. You can find the Scouts at each of these locations.

Is there a special leader in your group that has brought scouting to the next level for your child or family.

Here are ways to thank them. 😊
