Great events!!

🌼 Senior Socials are Back for 2026! 🌼

One of our favourite parts of the year is getting together with seniors from across Shelburne County for an afternoon of laughter, great food, entertainment, and friendship. We look forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new friends, and sharing plenty of fun along the way!

These events are free to attend, but registration is required. Food and entertainment are provided, and free transportation is available for those who need it.

This week's team member is Debbie.
Debbie has been with us for 10 months and is based in Barrington.

👋 What do you do, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I'm a driver. I can't really give one thing that I like the most about it (there are many). Helping people is probably the best part, though.

😊What’s something people might not know about you?
I'm a grandmother

📍 What’s your favourite local spot or activity?
I love summer and being outside.

Thank you!

We'd like to thank the mayor and council from the Town of Lockeport for their generous grant. These funds go directly to supporting essential transportation services to residents within the community for medical, food, education, employment and social connections/activities.

This week's team member is Leon.
Leon has been with us for almost 8 years and is based out of Shelburne.

👋 What do you do, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I'm a driver. I enjoy helping provide this essential service. I enjoy driving, meeting people that I would otherwise never have met, and sharing a bit of their lives

😊 What’s something people might not know about you?
I will be a Grampie for the 8th time in July!!

📍 What’s your favourite local spot or activity?
I enjoy all the beaches we are blessed with in Shelburne County. One particularly beautiful one is Crow's Neck Beach near Baccaro. I hadn't ever been there until a few years ago

🗺️ Describe Shelburne in one word:
Home- I lived all but 3 years in this area.

Both - Coffee in the morning. Tea in the evening

We are proud to support this upcoming event!

Everyone is welcome to join the Shelburne County Multicultural Association for the 2nd Annual Welcome Neighbours Community Event! 🌎🤝

This free community potluck is an opportunity to welcome newcomers and connect with neighbours from across our community while celebrating the many cultures that make Shelburne County such a vibrant and welcoming place.

Glyn has been with us for almost 9 months and is based out of Barrington.

👋 What do you do, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I'm a driver. I enjoy driving and meeting new people and assisting the community

😊 What’s something people might not know about you?
I am, and have been involved in several community projects (ie: Sherose Island Baseball Field, Barrington Curling Club and coaching various hockey and baseball teams)

📍 What’s your favourite local spot or activity?
Sitting back in my easy chair watching sports

I love:
- Meeting people and learning about the area.
- Everyone's experiences and what they share with me.
- The amazing people I meet everyday.

Love medieval history.

📍 What’s your favourite local spot or activity?
Walking local beaches. In particular stony island beach.
