Sou'West Nova Transit A registered charity that exists to provide supportive, door-to-door, wheelchair accessible transportation options to Shelburne County residents.

Sou’West Nova Transit Association (SWNT) is a registered charity that provides door-to-door, accessible, supportive transportation options to Shelburne County residents who would most benefit from our services. Specifically this includes seniors and those facing economic, medical, or mobility challenges, but we welcome anyone who needs a lift! Our focus for trips out of the Tri-County (Shelburne,

Yarmouth and Queens) area is medical appointments, except in cases where wheelchair accessibility is needed. For other Shelburne County residents and visitors wishing to travel long distance for non-medical purposes (including to and from the airport), we can help connect you with taxis, shuttles and bus services which may be able to assist!

Shelburne:

From all of us at Sou’West Nova Transit, we’d like to extend a huge thank-you to everyone who came out to our Community BBQ, co-hosted with the Lions Club in Barrington!

In the end, Mother Nature forced us to shut things down a little early, but not before we enjoyed 3 hours of fun, great music, creative artistry, and — most importantly — the opportunity to come together as a community, celebrating where we’ve been and where we’re headed.

A big thank-you to everyone who helped make the day such a success — the volunteers, partners, supporters, entertainers, vendors and everyone who came out to enjoy the afternoon. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Congratulations to Helena Ross, who took home an impressive $158 in our 50/50 draw!

And thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and made donations. The funds raised will be split with the Lions Club and go towards fare reductions, helping make transportation more accessible in our community.

Based on the feedback we’ve received, this may just have to become an annual event! 😉

We’re pleased to welcome the Shelburne County Learning Network as a new advertising partner with Sou’West Nova Transit!

The SCLN logo is now proudly displayed on several of our SWNT vehicles serving communities across Shelburne County. 🚐

Our vehicle advertising program gives local businesses and organizations an opportunity to get their name out in the community while helping support accessible, door-to-door transportation for the people of Shelburne County. We encourage everyone to support the local businesses and organizations that support SWNT and our community.
