It's an opportunity to salute the men and women who make a commitment every day to make life safety a priority, to stabilize emergency incidents, protect property, and always act in service to the community.

We honour those who have given their lives to the profession or passed in the line of duty. Thank you for your incredible service.

May 1st, is a day to thank our local firefighters, police, EMS, dispatchers, and other dedicated individuals for their skill and continued care in keeping communities safer.

First responders are the ones taking action in emergencies and are there in your times of need. Today we honour the dedication and professionalism shown by every person behind every call.

Thanks to our member volunteers for their time and energy leading the next generation of firefighters with the Amherstburg Fire Department. And props to the candidates for their hard work today!

A huge thank you to the dedicated firefighters of Amherstburg Fire who gave up 12 hours of their day to make our candidate testing process possible.

A lot of people don't realize what goes into a day like this. Behind every candidate who walks through that door is a crew of experienced firefighters giving up their time — setting up stations, running evaluations, and holding the standard that makes this department what it is.

That commitment to the next generation of firefighters doesn't go unnoticed. It reflects exactly the kind of culture we're proud to build here in Amherstburg.

Here's to a big win on and off the ice! Huge thanks to the Amherstburg Firefighters for their incredible support following a charity hockey game with Essex Fire. Participants and spectators generously donated non-perishable items that were shared between the Amherstburg Food and Fellowship Mission and the Essex Area Food Bank. Thank you Firefighters for your generosity and heart. We are truly grateful.
