🇧🇲 NIC NARRAWAY TAKES ROAD RACE BRONZE! 🥉

Congratulations to Nic Narraway, who secured third place in today’s 127.6 km elite men’s road race at the Caribbean Cycling Championships in Santo Domingo! His bronze adds to yesterday’s time trial silver.

Congratulations also to champion Christopher Morales Fontán of Puerto Rico 🥇 and silver medallist Briton John of Guyana 🥈, who joined Nic on the podium.

Kaden Hopkins followed up his time trial gold with seventh place, giving Bermuda two riders in the top ten.

A cheer, too, for Alexander “Zander” Miller, whose race was disrupted by an early flat tyre, and Conor White and Dominique Mayho, who did their part for the team, their effort and contribution deserve recognition.

🇧🇲 NEXT UP: ELITE MEN’S ROAD RACE 🇧🇲

Kaden Hopkins and Nic Narraway return to the start line on Sunday for the Elite Men’s Road Race at the UCI Road World Championships in Montréal.

They will line up alongside nearly 200 of the world’s leading cyclists, including world and Olympic champions, Grand Tour winners and WorldTour professionals.

The 273.7-kilometre race begins in Brossard before crossing into Montréal and completing 12 laps of the demanding Mount Royal circuit. With 3,803 metres of climbing, steep sections exceeding 11 per cent and almost seven hours of racing expected, it will be one of the toughest challenges of their careers.

The race is expected to be highly selective. Riders who fall more than ten minutes behind the peloton may be withdrawn for course safety, about a third of the competitors will likely reach the finish line.
