🚀 В Лече стартира инициативата „Digital Mentors“, която носи нова енергия и иновации в европейския социален сектор!

От 15 април, в Музея „Сиджимондо Кастромедиано“, 21 представители на неправителствени организации от Италия, Литва и България работят заедно по проекта **Sha.K.E. – Sharing e-Knowledge to Empower Communities** по програма Erasmus+.

💡 Какво се случва?
Участниците преминават през интензивна програма, която съчетава:
✔️ дигитални умения и работа с изкуствен интелект
✔️ ефективна комуникация на английски език
✔️ практически работилници и обмен на опит
✔️ срещи с вдъхновяващи социални инициативи

🤖 Фокусът е върху реалното приложение на технологии като ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude и Perplexity – не просто като инструменти, а като начин за по-ефективно управление и по-силен социален ефект.

🌍 Голямата цел?
Създаване на мрежа от **Digital Mentors**, които ще се върнат в своите общности и ще подкрепят местните организации в дигиталната трансформация – с мислене, насочено към бъдещето и хората.

The image highlights the growing issue of excessive phone use and digital isolation among young people. Even when surrounded by nature or public spaces meant for social interaction, many individuals spend most of their time online instead of connecting with the people and environment around them.

Through this photo, the participant wanted to raise awareness about how technology, while useful, can sometimes distance us from real-life experiences and relationships. It encourages us to reflect on our habits and find a healthier balance between the digital world and the world around us. 📱🌿

As part of our project activities, we organised Photovoice workshops, where young people learned the art of visual storytelling to express their perspectives on issues affecting their communities.

In this photo, a young participant is captured tossing a plastic bottle into the air outside a school building. At first glance, the moment may seem playful and spontaneous, but it also reflects a deeper issue many communities face — the everyday presence of plastic waste and how easily it becomes part of our routine.

The empty bottle represents more than just a discarded item. It symbolizes how quickly single-use plastics are consumed and thrown away without much thought about where they end up. In many neighborhoods, plastic waste can be seen in parks, schoolyards, and public spaces, slowly becoming a normal part of the environment.

Through this image, the participant highlights how small everyday actions contribute to a bigger environmental challenge. By capturing this simple moment, the photo invites us to reflect on our own habits and consider how we treat the spaces around us.

At the same time, the photo reminds us that change starts with awareness. When young people recognize these issues and speak about them, they can inspire others to rethink their behavior — whether that means recycling more, reducing plastic use, or taking better care of shared community spaces.

С радост споделяме началото на нашия нов проект по Erasmus+ KA154 „Change Starts Here“ („Промяната започва оттук“). В тази инициатива Асоциация Bright Minds си партнира с CET Lithuania, за да насърчи по-силно участие на младите хора в демократичния живот и да ги овласти да бъдат активни двигатели на промяната в своите общности.

Чрез този проект се стремим да:

✨ Засилим участието на младите хора в демократичните процеси
✨ Насърчим младите хора да идентифицират предизвикателства в общността, свързани с приобщаването, околната среда и навиците на младите

🌍 Change Starts Here – A New Erasmus+ Journey 🌱

We are happy to share the beginning of our new Erasmus+ KA154 project “Change Starts Here.” In this initiative, Association Bright Minds is partnering with CET Lithuania to promote stronger youth participation in democratic life and empower young people to become active changemakers in their communities.

Through this project we aim to:

📸 Photovoice Workshops (January – March)
As part of the project activities, we organised Photovoice workshops, where young people learn the art of visual storytelling to express their perspectives on community issues. Through photography, participants capture real-life challenges and opportunities within their communities. The results of this creative process will be presented in a public exhibition, creating a powerful visual platform to communicate community needs and inspire dialogue.

🗣 Consultation Sessions with Decision-Makers
The project also includes consultation sessions, where young participants present their findings and discuss community priorities with decision-makers and community representatives. These meetings provide an open space for meaningful dialogue, ensuring that youth voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes.

Together, we aim to create inclusive conversations, stronger civic engagement, and positive change starting at the community level.

🌍✨ Empowering youth work with AI!

Our team from Association Bright Minds (Bulgaria) recently took part in the Erasmus+ Training Course “Artificial Intelligence Tools in Youth Work Against Disinformation”, hosted by the Caribbean Education and Culture Foundation.

Throughout the week participants explored how AI tools can support youth workers in tackling disinformation, strengthening critical thinking and digital literacy.

📚 During the training we:
🔹 Explored the Erasmus+ framework, Youthpass and YOCOMO competences
🔹 Analysed different forms of disinformation and how they impact society
🔹 Learned how AI intersects with youth work and media literacy
🔹 Practiced fact-checking using digital tools to verify images, videos and online content
🔹 Investigated bots, automated accounts and fake news strategies
🔹 Strengthened critical thinking and verification skills

Participants also worked on developing project results and action plans to implement in their local communities.

Beyond the sessions, the group shared an intercultural evening, a mountain hike and an island tour, creating meaningful connections and learning from each other’s cultures.

The training concluded with the presentation of project results and the awarding of Youthpass certificates, marking the end of an inspiring learning journey.
