Thank you all for the great interest in our event “FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMPANIES UNDER GREEN BUSINESS AND INNOVATION PROGRAMME BULGARIA, NORWEGIAN FINANCIAL MECHANISM 2021-2028”!

The Norwegian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce organized an engaging event bringing together business representatives to explore funding and partnership opportunities under the upcoming Green Business and Innovation Programme Bulgaria, Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2021–2028.

It was an honour to have H.E. Hilde Svartdal Lunde, Ambassador of Norway to Romania and Bulgaria, open the event with her welcoming remarks and insightful speech, highlighting the importance of strong Norwegian-Bulgarian collaboration.

The programme featured insightful presentations by:
🔹 Ms. Kari Holmefjord Vervik - Programme manager "Green Business and Innovation" programmes Greece and Bulgaria and Head of office Athens and Sofia, on Leveraging Offshore Expertise for the Green Transition.
🔹 Mr. Magnar Ødelien, Director of EEA Grants, on upcoming funding opportunities for Bulgarian companies under the new programme.
🔹 Our Executive Director, Mrs. Miriana Alexandrova, who presented an overview of sectors with strong potential for growth and enhanced business cooperation between Norway and Bulgaria.
🔹 SME Norway, which introduced its member base, highlighting potential avenues for Norwegian-Bulgarian partnerships.

The event also included a Q&A session and networking, providing a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and exploring future cooperation. It was fantastic to see so many company representatives, eager to explore bilateral funding and partnership opportunities!

‘It is with great sorrow that I received the news that His Majesty King Harald V has died.
A whole nation is in mourning and the people of Norway are left with a deep sense of gratitude for a long life in the service of Norway.
For more than three decades as monarch, Harald V demonstrated an unwavering faith in the Norwegian people. He helped us to see the best in ourselves – and in one another.
King Harald found the words to bind us together when we needed them the most. He grieved with us after the attacks 22 July 2011. He cheered with us when Norwegian athletes excelled. And he guided us, with warmth, wisdom and openness, towards a society with a place for everyone. King Harald had a profound love for Norway. And Norway had a profound love for King Harald.
My thoughts and deepest sympathy are with the Queen and the entire Royal Family at this difficult time,’ said Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on learning of the death of King Harald V.
King Harald V was born on 21 February 1937. He died at the age of 89.
The Government will be convening soon for a government conference at the Office of the Prime Minister, and after that an extraordinary meeting of the Council of State will be held at the Royal Palace with the new King.

Last Friday, the Norwegian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of bringing together members, partners, and friends of the Nordic community in Bulgaria for our Midsummer Garden Party & Networking Event.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed to the warm atmosphere, meaningful conversations, and festive spirit that made the evening so special. It was a true pleasure to celebrate one of the most cherished Nordic traditions with such a vibrant community.

We are proud to share the success of our event “AI-Driven Growth: Scaling Business Internationally in the AI Era” 🚀

With over 55 attendees, the event brought together key voices from government, industry, and the innovation ecosystem to explore how AI is shaping the future of business and cross-border collaboration.
We were honored to open the event with inspiring remarks from the Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth, Mr. Borislav Bankov and H. E. Mrs. Hilde Svartdal Lunde, Ambassador of Norway to Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova!

The program featured dynamic discussions on:
