Erasmus Student Network- ESN is the largest student, volunteer organization in EU. The organization helps the Erasmus students during their stay in Plovdiv.

You miss Erasmus already? Join ESN Plovdiv and Get Your Erasmus encore! Who are we? Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is the biggest student association in Europe. It was born on the 16th October 1989 and legally registered in 1990 for supporting and developing student exchange. ESN is present in more than 430 Higher Education Institutions from 37 countries. The network is constantly developing and expanding. It has around 13.500 active members that are in many sections supported by so called buddies, mainly taking care of international students. Thus, ESN involves around 29.000 young people offering its services to around 180.000 international students every year. Why join us? If you miss being part of Erasmus, joining ESN will help you fight the post-Erasmus depression

Latin Night: Dance Lessons + Party! 💃🕺

Do you like the song from the post, but you you don't know how to dance it? We got You

📅 Date: Tuesday, 6 October
📍 Meeting point: Art Center Alejandro I, ul. "Mladezhka" 25, 4000 Plovdiv
🕢 Time: 19:15

We'll start with a dance lesson (one hour aprox)
🎶 Afterwards, we'll go to Casa de Cuba a club/bar nearby, where we'll arrive before 21:00

💶 Dance lesson: 5€ per person
(Bring cash or pay with Revolut)
At the bar: just order something to enjoy the party!

🎵 What will you hear? Salsa and bachata, usually alternating one after the other. The party usually lasts until 24:00🌙
Only till midnight? Yes, because after that the neighbours will start to complain

🍝 You will arrive hungry to the venue? Next to the bar there's an Italian restaurant. If you arrive in time, you can order food from there and enjoy it inside the bar!

👟 Very important: please come with CLEAN shoes to the dance lesson. You can even wear heels to dance! 👠

Join ESN Plovdiv for a collaborative event on Sunday, 4 October! 🎉

ESN Sofia and ESN Burgas are coming to visit us with many great Erasmus student, and we can't wait to meet them 🤝

📍 Meeting point: Central Post Office of Plovdiv, in the city center
🕐 Time: after 13:00

📝 Please register using the link in our bio. We'll split everyone into groups, and you can choose between two options the day of the event:

🔍 Option 1: Outdoor Escape Room Game
Play in small groups of 5 people, in collaboration with our friends from Inner Voice. It's a type of outdoor escape room played from your phone, where you'll explore the Roman ruins of Plovdiv! 🏛️
💶 Price: 9€
⏱️ Duration: around 1.5 to 2 hours
📱 Please bring a phone with enough battery and wear comfortable shoes. 👟

🚶 Option 2: Guided Walking Tour.
Join a larger group and explore the center of Plovdiv with a local guide
💶 Price: 1€, which covers the entrance to a 19th-century house museum 🏡
⏱️ Duration: around 3 hours apox.
🪪 Important: you must bring a valid student ID, otherwise the price may increase 😬

🎨 Painting in the Park 🎨

Join ESN Plovdiv for a relaxed afternoon of painting and good company! 🌳

📍 Meeting point: Rosarium Park, near the rowing canal (Otdih I Kultura, Western District, 4001 Plovdiv)
🕑 Time: 14:00
💶 Price: 4€, including materials and some snacks 🍪
🗓 Date: Saturday, 3rd of October

No previous experience required, and you don't need to be a painting lover to join! 🖌️ We'll be chatting and playing different games as a group, and what we paint will be related to a couple of those games 🎲

🧺 What to bring (if you want):

A mat or blanket, in case the gazebo (the covered area with benches) is occupied and we sit on the grass.
Drinks or snacks, if you'd like more
A speaker or a guitar, if you want to share some music! 🎸

It will be a calm afternoon in great company. ✨

⏰ Very important: please fill out the form by 09:00 on Saturday, 3 October. Because we need to get the materials for all participants in advance

Join ESN Plovdiv for a sunset on one of Plovdiv's famous tepes! We will gather at the bottom of the hill and all together will go to the top following the main path!

🍻 PubCrawl: Safe & Responsible Event 🍻

Get ready for a super fun night. What will we do? We will visit several local venues, take some drinks and play games all night to finish the night at No Sence dancing 🕺

📍 Meeting point: Tsar Simeon Garden, next to the Singing Fountains
🕗 Time: 20:15

We'll start with a pre-drinking in the park, and then we'll visit some local bars, playing different games at each one

📝 Please fill out the form we sent in the WhatsApp group so we know how many people are coming. It will help us prepare better!

⚠️ Safety first: If anyone feels unwell, please tell the organizers immediately. Let's all be responsible and respect each other and the places we visit.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL 🏐☀️🌴

The European Week of Sport takes places between the 23rth and the 30th of Sep. And we decided to organise a sport event to celebrate it 🥳

Ready to have some fun in the sand? Join us for a beach volley game. No experience needed, this is just about having a great time together! 🎉

📅 When: Tuesday, September 29th
⏰ Time: 18:30
📍 Meeting point: Rowing Canal. Outdoor Fitness, Septemvri, Western District, 4002 Plovdiv (next to the rowing channel)

🍽️ TRADITIONAL BULGARIAN DINNER 🍽️

Time to gather around the table and share some Bulgarian flavors! 🇧🇬✨

📍 Where: Restaurant Rahat Tepe, St Doctor Stoyan Chimakov 18, Plovdiv
⏰ Time: 20:30 (reservation)

This dinner is all about sharing food, stories and good company! You'll sit at tables with people from other countries and share traditional dishes such as fries with sirene (Bulgarian cheese), Bulgarian salads, Sach (sizzling hot plate), kyufteta (meatballs), patatnik, sarmi ...and more! You may order something for yourself, but it's funnier if you share!

💶 Important: Please bring cash! Card payment is available, but restaurants won't split the bill per person, only per table, so cash makes things much easier for everyone. 💵

Come hungry and ready to make new friends! 🌍❤️

🔥 BBQ IN ASENOVGRAD 🔥

Get ready for a cool day with new friends doing a chill hike in Asenovgrad followed by a BBQ

📅 When: September 27th
📍 Meeting point: Plovdiv train station
⏰ Meeting time: 9:50 AM
💶 Price: 2.50€

We're taking the train together to Asenovgrad in the morning! Once we arrive, we'll do our shopping at a supermarket right next to the train station. No need to bring food in advance, you'll get everything there. 🛒

From there, we'll make a short hike (around 1 hour) with a stop at the Asen's Fortress (Asenova Krepost), where you'll learn about its history and importance. 🏰

We'll continue to our BBQ spot: a hilltop with panoramic views over the mountains and Asenovgrad. 🌳🔥

For the way back, there will be several options, but the main group plans to head back before nightfall. 🌇

What to bring:
👟 Comfortable shoes (normal sneakers are totally fine, no need for hiking boots)
💧 A reusable bottle to refill with water along the way

What's included in the price:
🚆 Transport

✅ All the BBQ basics, like plates, forks, bread, salt, coal...

You'll just need to bring/buy what you want to eat and drink! 🍖🥤
