Marina Otero Verzier joins KIKK Festival 2026 as a speaker. (Français ci-dessous)

Marina Otero Verzier is an architect and researcher working at the intersection of critical spatial practices, ecology, technology, and activism. She is a Lecturer in Architecture at Harvard GSD and has led the Data Mourning clinic at Columbia University’s GSAPP.

Previously, she was Head of the MA Social Design at Design Academy Eindhoven and Director of Research at Het Nieuwe Instituut. She has curated exhibitions at major international venues, including the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Oslo Architecture Triennale.

She is the author of Flotando en Litio (2025) and En las Profundidades de la Nube (2024), and co-editor of Automated Landscapes (2023), Lithium: States of Exhaustion (2021), More-than-Human (2020), Architecture of Appropriation (2019), and Work, Body, Leisure (2018), among others.

Otero Verzier also works across design, art, and filmmaking. She has co-directed five films presented at major international venues and festivals. Her latest film, Building for Quantum (2025), co-directed with Manuel Correa, premiered at the Venice Architecture Biennale and was recently acquired by MUDAC in Lausanne for its permanent collection.

Her work has received several international awards. The Opera Aperta pavilion, which she co-curated, received a Special Mention at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025. Computational Compost was awarded by Ars Electronica and the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism in 2025. In 2022, she received Harvard GSD’s Wheelwright Prize.

The two artists selected for the KIKK × UNamur × le Delta Astronomy Residency officially arrived in Namur this Wednesday. (Français ci-dessous)

Two projects exploring invisible cosmic phenomena through immersion, sound, XR and scientific data.

develops Too Close to the Sun, a speculative XR project exploring solar disturbances, magnetic interference and planetary systems through motion capture and immersive environments.

develops Interférences, an immersive sound project translating gravitational wave data into spatial and sensory experiences.

Deux projets explorant des phénomènes cosmiques invisibles à travers l’immersion, le son, la XR et les données scientifiques.

Letta Shtohryn développe Too Close to the Sun, un projet XR spéculatif autour des perturbations solaires, des interférences magnétiques et des systèmes planétaires.

Julien Poidevin développe Interférences, un projet sonore immersif traduisant les données d’ondes gravitationnelles en expériences spatiales et sensibles.

Ling Tan & Usman Haque of HAQUE TAN join the 15 years of KIKK Festival as speakers.

HAQUE TAN is an art & design studio led by Ling Tan & Usman Haque, award-winning artists & creative technologists, trained as architects. Drawing on decades of experience in architecture, art, technology and participation, they are also the creative force behind interactive design studio Umbrellium. HAQUE TAN works globally, combining the scale of architecture with the ingenuity of art and the eccentricities of technology, to make spaces more democratic, inclusive, and culturally-driven.

Ling Tan is a designer, artist and creative technologist focused on social engagement, urban data science and environmental politics. Trained as an architect, she has worked with diverse communities worldwide on a range of participatory and technological initiatives to address pressing urban issues, including the climate crisis, public safety, air quality, and gender and racial equity.

Trained as an architect, Usman Haque’s work is dedicated to transforming urban environments to get communities meaningfully engaged. His work embraces many disciplines, including interactive architecture, participatory design, urban community infrastructure and large-scale public art/performance.

Ling Tan & Usman Haque de HAQUE TAN rejoignent les 15 ans du KIKK Festival en tant que speakers.

HAQUE TAN est un studio d’art et de design dirigé par Ling Tan et Usman Haque, artistes et creative technologists primé·es, formé·es en architecture. S’appuyant sur plusieurs décennies d’expérience dans les domaines de l’architecture, de l’art, de la technologie et de la participation, ils sont également la force créative derrière le studio de design interactif Umbrellium. HAQUE TAN développe des projets à travers le monde, combinant l’échelle de l’architecture, l’ingéniosité de l’art et les singularités de la technologie afin de rendre les espaces plus démocratiques, inclusifs et culturellement engagés.

Ling Tan est designer, artiste et creative technologist. Son travail se concentre sur l’engagement social, la science des données urbaines et les politiques environnementales. Formée comme architecte, elle collabore avec des communautés diverses à travers le monde sur des initiatives participatives et technologiques abordant des enjeux urbains majeurs tels que la crise climatique, la sécurité publique, la qualité de l’air ou encore les questions d’équité de genre et de race.

Formé comme architecte, Usman Haque consacre son travail à transformer les environnements urbains afin d’impliquer les communautés de manière significative. Sa pratique embrasse de nombreuses disciplines, parmi lesquelles l’architecture interactive, le design participatif, les infrastructures communautaires urbaines et les performances / œuvres d’art public à grande échelle.

From data visualisation to AI, surveillance and digital culture, both explore the systems, behaviours and technologies shaping the way we interact with the contemporary world.

Moritz Stefaner
As the one and only "truth and beauty operator," Moritz Stefaner has spent two decades chasing the perfect shape for information and occasionally catching it. From his studio in northern Germany, he helps clients like the WHO, the German government, OECD, Salesforce, and Deutsche Bahn find insights and beauty in complex data, drawing on a background in cognitive science and interface design.

Dries Depoorter
Belgian creative technologist and artist Dries Depoorter, based in Ghent, creates thought-provoking work about technology, surveillance, AI and social media in a playful way that makes people laugh while delivering serious messages in an accessible way.

Moritz Stefaner
En tant qu’unique « truth and beauty operator », Moritz Stefaner passe depuis deux décennies son temps à poursuivre la forme parfaite de l’information — et parvient parfois à l’attraper. Depuis son studio dans le nord de l’Allemagne, il aide des clients tels que l’OMS, le gouvernement allemand, l’OCDE, Salesforce ou encore Deutsche Bahn à révéler la beauté et les enseignements cachés dans des données complexes, en s’appuyant sur une formation en sciences cognitives et en design d’interfaces.

Dries Depoorter
Creative technologist et artiste belge basé à Gand, Dries Depoorter développe des projets autour de la technologie, de la surveillance, de l’intelligence artificielle et des réseaux sociaux. À travers une approche ludique et accessible, son travail fait sourire tout en abordant des sujets de fond et des questions critiques liées au numérique.

As climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss reshape our relationship with water, how can creativity help us imagine new futures?

Fluid Futures - Art, Science & Communities Rethinking Waters brings together artists, scientists, researchers, policymakers and local actors for a day of dialogue, experimentation and exchange around the future of water in Europe.

Organised as a satellite event of the New European Bauhaus Festival, Fluid Futures explores how artistic practices can make environmental challenges tangible, emotional and shared, while opening new paths for collaboration between cultural, scientific and public institutions.
