TIB’s mission is to catalyze and strengthen a participatory social movement to raise and strengthen peoples’ voices and intensify public demand for accountability through strengthening institutions, laws and practices for establishing an efficient and transparent system of governance, politics and business. TIB’s research, civic engagement, outreach and communication initiatives are geared
to policy and institutional reforms for controlling corruption, and thereby reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development. Company Overview
Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) is the accredited national chapter of the Berlin-based Transparency International, the global coalition against corruption. TIB's social movement is dedicated to raising voice against corruption and creating demand for transparency, accountability and good governance in Bangladesh. TIB is an independent, non-government, non-partisan and non-profit organization with a vision of Bangladesh in which government, politics, business, civil society and the daily lives of the citizens shall be free from corruption. In the context of the international movement against corruption, TIB is the accredited national chapter in Bangladesh of the Berlin-based Transparency International (TI), and accordingly, TIB partners and cooperates with TI and its chapters worldwide. TIB is committed to fighting corruption without fear or favour. Its programmes are directed against corruption and to that extent TIB considers itself a partner of the Government and any other stakeholder that works against corruption. It is not in TIB’s jurisdiction, however, to intervene in individual cases of corruption, nor does TIB investigate into or report on such cases. Description
Transparency International Bangladesh began its journey in Bangladesh in 1996 as a social movement against corruption dedicated to raising voice against corruption and creating demand for transparency, accountability and good governance in Bangladesh. It is now credited as the organization that has been able to bring the issue of corruption at the core of public discourse, and catalyze some significant institutional and policy reforms.
