📢 Community Update | TTFA Level 1 Safeguarding Course Delivered in Mayaro!
Saturday was a landmark day for sport development in Mayaro as the TTFA Level 1 Safeguarding Course was successfully delivered at the BPTT Mayaro Resource Centre.
The training was organized by the All Mayaro Sports Foundation (AMSF), delivered by the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA), and proudly sponsored by bp Trinidad and Tobago - a true partnership committed to strengthening our sporting ecosystem.
To accommodate the overwhelming interest, the class was split into two sessions - a morning session and an afternoon session, and both were filled to capacity with coaches, volunteers, and community stakeholders eager to elevate their knowledge and responsibilities in safeguarding.
We were honoured to have bpTT Community Liaison Officer, Matthew Pierre, present at both sessions. Matthew shared valuable insight on bpTT’s ongoing commitment to community development and personally distributed certificates to participants at both sessions. His presence reinforced the importance of safeguarding in sport and bpTT’s dedication to empowering our communities.
AMSF Chairman, Jameson JR Rigues, addressed participants and reaffirmed AMSF’s mission to collaborate with leading organizations to bring essential training opportunities directly to Mayaro. He announced that AMSF has already begun discussions with TTFA and bpTT to deliver Level 2 and beyond of the Safeguarding qualification, ensuring continuous growth and capacity building among our sporting stakeholders.
AMSF extends heartfelt thanks to bpTT and TTFA for their partnership, professionalism, and unwavering support in making this training possible. Together, we are building a safer, stronger, and more knowledgeable sporting community in Mayaro.
