⭐Introducing our new fall season residents! Ashley Teamer, Lyric Shen, Teo Ala-Ruona, and Anna Gregor ⭐

Ashley Teamer () is a visual artist whose multimedia practice engages with the body, nature, space, and time. She addresses these themes through collage by remixing images of the southern Gulf region's landscape and exploring the history of water, land mismanagement, and infrastructure collapse.

Lyric Shen () is an artist and writer. What begins as a wide tolerance for the raw or unrefined is channeled through consistent modes of address and treatment. Shen engages with ceramics, papermaking, hydrography, and found objects to compose eustressed images and sculptures that consider language and memory as materials. She is currently studying English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese Hokkien.

Teo Ala-Ruona () is a Helsinki-based performance artist, working across dance, choreography, contemporary theatre, and visual arts. Rooted in embodied practicing and theory, his art seeks embodied metaphysical transformation on somatic, psychic and social registers. Teo Ala-Ruona’s residency occurs in partnership with the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.

Anna Gregor () is a painter who occasionally writes about Paintings. She paints observational paintings of mirrors etched with paintings from the past to capture, visually and conceptually, the complex interplay between the past and possible futures in the present act of making and looking.

Juliana Hyrri is a painter and experimental writer working between image, text, and observation. Her work begins in fragments: memories, sketches, overheard conversations, and everyday perceptions, which unfold into paintings where figures, objects, and interiors slip out of place and form new, unstable relations. With a background in contemporary comics, she works with rhythm, sequencing, and interruption as structuring principles. Writing runs through her practice as titles, notes, and lists, shaping how images are read as much as how they are made. Her work moves between tenderness, irony, and quiet humour, holding meaning in a state of gentle instability.

Juliana Hyrri’s residency occurs in partnership with the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.

🏙"Triangle is a sanctuary for artists in the middle of highly commercialized NYC/Brooklyn/Dumbo. It gave me the space and time I've badly needed to evolve my practice, while being located in the eye of the storm. I found this to be a unique perspective on living and working as an artist (as well as office employee) in the city."

-Ryan Kuo, Summer 2025

The pressure of making art while making a living is familiar to many artists, and is especially pressing for those in New York City. Please help us offer this experience to another artist who needs it.

Our last fundraising campaign of our fiscal year ends July 1. Please give if you can. **DONATION LINK IN BIO**

Regardless of whether you are able to donate right now, please share this post with your friends.

Thank you so much for your support!

“Triangle is an incredible residency, giving artists freedom to explore and create in a supportive environment with a diverse group of artists. The connections made here will undoubtedly continue past the residency and this residency was important in making me feel support for my practice, something especially useful in this time of precarity in the art world and world at large. The facilitation of this residency program was amazing and I truly appreciate the gift of this time and space, and am excited to see my practice grow from this experience.”

⏲Our last fundraising campaign of our fiscal year ends July 1.⏲ Please give if you can.

Once you know that the majority of individuals who support us are people who have seen our work up close, you know your support allows us to work directly with new residents, providing dedicated support from our staff and invited curators and critics. It contributes to the cost of the studios. It opens our doors for open studios. Every dollar helps to keep our program running.

Regardless of whether you are able to donate right now, please share this post with your friends.

Please take action before our deadline of July 1.

Thank you so much for your support!
