CLIMATE ACTION IS NO LONGER AN OPTION

The final report on Aruba’s community climate actions is LIVE! 📢 on World Environment Day 🌴 🌊

Aruba faces unique risks and our community wants solutions. 🏝️

Here are the key takeaways from the community survey:

1️⃣ Top Priority: A large majority (+75%) of us say climate adaptation is an important priority for the next decade! 🚨

2️⃣ Beating the Heat: Rising temperatures are our #1 concern, affecting everything from our health, our work to our energy bills. 🥵

3️⃣ Cost of Living: Climate change is hitting our wallets through higher food prices and utility costs. 💸

4️⃣ Nature + Tech: We want to protect our reefs and mangroves while investing in renewable cooling and nature-positive infrastructure. 🌿🏗️

5️⃣ Common Good: Strong support for prioritizing help for the vulnerable, our elderly and low-income families. 🤝

👀 Insight: To strengthen our climate resilience to safeguard community wellbeing, and implement these and other climate solutions, (new) climate legislation and (sustainable) climate finance are key to unlocking regeneration 🔑 🌱

Thank you H.E. the Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor, mr. Wendrick Cicilia, for joining the Certification Ceremony for AHATA's custom "Own Your Supervisory Authority Responsibly" course. Over 500 supervisors have graduated from the course especially created for Aruba, by CHTAEF.

Another large group of supervisors and managers achieved certification of AHATA's exclusive "Own Your Supervisory Authority Responsibly" course presented by the CHTAEF. They join a group of 450 individuals that certified in the last few years. AHATA continues to commit to supporting education and career development. Pabien to the graduates! Today, the AHATA Team proudly joined Club Kibrahacha for Aruba Doet! Together, we rolled up our sleeves and spent the morning painting walls, bringing fresh color and positive energy to the community. Every brushstroke today reflected the power of giving back and the impact we can make when we work side by side for a better Aruba. 💙🎨
