No one likes writing these posts, but at the same time we want to make it loud and clear that being rude, obnoxious, and abusing our volunteers will not be tolerated.

We know everyone has bad days, and we know that it's disappointing if a product you were after is not in stock, but that is NOT a free ticket to be abusive or rude.
💚
Our volunteers CANNOT (shouting a bit louder for those in the back) wave a magic wand and make another company's delivery truck appear on demand! Or sprinkle some fairy dust around and have the exact product you're after.
💚
Please keep in mind, we are a charity trying our best to bring you genuine savings. We vet all our volunteers to make sure you have the kindest humans around serving you, and making your shopping experience with us the best it can possibly be. Don't mess that up by being rude so they don't want to come to work!

We know this post is a little blunt.
But it's still not as blunt as management will be with repeat offenders.
The Acorn Pantry is proud to be a safe place.
Please keep it that way by leaving your 'cranky pants' at home.

I hired a handyman and gave him a list of six things to fix around the house. When I came home, he had only done jobs 1, 3, and 5.
Turns out, he only does odd jobs!

But we're guessing you guys know the best handyhumans around!

Emerence has a huge heart and we’re so grateful that she’s chosen to share some of her goodness with The Acorn Pantry.

Meet Emily!
You'll find this incredible human at The Acorn on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays! That's right, three whole days of 'Emily Energy' as she makes sure the week starts off well, and keeps on going.

Having first been a customer at Redbank Plains, Emily's passion is to give back, and ensure that Acorn's generosity continues on through her time at The Pantry. She loves helping everyone around her whether it's physically carrying groceries to a car, or offering advice to other young mums.
Lightening the load of everyday life and making people smile through their struggle brings her so much joy.

Em's always on the go.
Stocking shelves, cleaning, collecting stock, and making reports - always with a smile on her face... well, mostly.... even through the most challenging tasks The Acorn throws at her.
The crew loves have Emily on board, and she thinks The Acorn Crew is pretty awesome too.
