"You might notice a splash of pink around the venue lately—that’s because we’re raising money for Project Pink to help give breast cancer the bird! 🎀

Keep an eye out for our meat trays, too. They’re looking absolutely legendary, and every ticket purchased goes directly toward this fantastic cause. Come grab one and help us make a difference!

Five-year survival rates for breast cancer are now over 90 per cent, Awesome. But ONE IN SEVEN WOMEN will still be diagnosed in their lifetime with breast cancer, super crappy. That means the JOB IS NOT DONE. So, here’s a few things we can do as a community.

Firstly, follow the lead of our B***y Birds and download our free breast check kit and CHECK YOUR BO***ES here (yes, even you men): https://www.pafoundation.org.au/event/view/project-pink

Secondly get along to your nearest ALH Hotels venue and support their fundraising efforts for Project Pink which they will be undertaking right now and into June.
You can find your nearest ALH venue here: https://www.alhgroup.com.au/venues

Thirdly, donate at your local ALH venue or on the link below so we can continue to fund vital research into new treatments to help people diagnosed with breast cancer, and together, let’s GIVE BREAST CANCER THE BIRD. https://www.pafoundation.org.au/event/view/project-pink

No, you're not looking at an image from a space telescope, or a weird AI created bubble. What you're looking at is a cancer organoid, developed in the lab by researcher Dr Charlie Bidgood from a breast cancer tissue sample.

Organoids are developed by researchers using tissue samples from PA Hospital cancer patients, and grown in a lab so they can see how the patient's cancer may react or respond to certain treatments.

As scary as cancer is, the images produced by researchers can be quite striking.

Thanks to funding from the incredible donors and supporters of Project Pink and the PA Research Foundation that was put toward a matching grant from Tour de Cure, Professor Rik Thompson has been able to advance a triple negative breast cancer study to the point where he has now received mainstream funding from the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
