A few of our usual reminders:
🔨 if you have a booking and can't make it, don't forget to let us know.
🔨 We take both cash and digital donations via PayID. We'd appreciate if you could bring along something, but only if you can afford it.
🔨 Don't forget the bits a bobs that go with your items - records for record players, zips and elastic for clothes items etc. If you are bring a electronic device, don't forget its accessories such as batteries, montiors for computers and cables including power cables for any devices. Electrical devices will need test and tagging (which we provide) before our volunteers look at the item, so please allow time for this.

Another FAQ from our customers... we know that parking is not the best on Burke Street. While creating more parking is probably outside our capacity, did you know that Boggo Road Train Station is only 250m from our venue? Perhaps you might be able to utilise this for your next visit to us? 🚄🚄🚄

"What electrical items are possible to repair?" We hear you ask... well, here is a list of common electrical items and scenarios we see from most to least repairable. This doesn’t mean we won’t give things a try, particuarly if it a precious item to you. So don't shy away from booking in... we do like a good challenge!

We launched Sewing Machine and Overlocker Troubleshooting at our April event this past Saturday, and plan to continue this service at future events. One of our experienced sewists can show you how to perform basic maintenance on your machine and help you to diagnose stitch issues. We can even help you to gain confidence in threading an overlocker. Bookings for our 14 June event open 1 May.
