❤️ What a wonderful celebration of community!

Over five weeks, Bring a Plate, supported by Brisbane Festival, brought creative workshops to Kurilpa Kiosk and Yeronga Community Centre, creating opportunities for people to try something new, build confidence, get creative and connect with one another through movement, dance, weaving and shared experiences.

The program came to a beautiful close with Community Serenades at the Croquet Club, bringing together Bring a Plate, The Whoopee Do Crew, Jenny Pineapple, Aunty Chantay – Aunty in Residence, Dhiiyaan Dhinawan and community members for an afternoon of music, movement, creativity and connection. 🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and shared their creativity, and to Bring a Plate and Brisbane Festivalfor partnering with us to make these wonderful community experiences possible.

Community Serenades was a beautiful reminder that when people have the opportunity to connect, participate and create together, something special happens.
Were you part of Community Serenades? We’d love to hear about your favourite moment!

🍲 A lot happens behind the scenes in the kitchen at Yeronga Community Centre!

Our incredible volunteers are always hard at work turning donated ingredients and food from OzHarvest into delicious, nourishing meals for people in our community who need a little extra support.
We’re so grateful for the time, creativity and care our volunteers bring to the kitchen. Their hard work helps make sure good food goes further and reaches people who need it. 💜

Have extra food or pantry items you’d like to donate? We’d love to hear from our local community!

Donations can be dropped off at Yeronga Community Centre, 62 Park Rd, Yeronga, Monday–Friday, 8am–1pm

If you have food to spare, consider donating it to YCC and help us keep our community kitchen going.
