Everything donated to our fundraising BBQ helps us move more dogs from photo TWO to photo ONE! From lonely and forgotten, to cherished family members 🧡 In the second photo, Buddy is doing his best to stay dry on cold, wet concrete… hidden in a broken corner of a yard, with nothing but a plastic kennel and wet carpet for comfort ☹️

In the first photo, it’s the same dog, but safe inside, warm, clean, and curled up on a soft bed, finally knowing what it feels like to be loved 💔➡️❤️

Bunnings BBQ products that we purchase include:
- 500 sausages 🌭
- 500 pieces of bread 🍞
- 350 cans/bottles of soft drinks and water
- 20 kg of onions 🧅
- 15 litres of condiments
- Napkins, paper towel, disposable gloves, garbage bags
- Hand sanitiser's, detergent, cleaning equipment
- Ice to keep sausages and drinks cold in our eskies🧊

If we can get help with any donations at all, no matter how small, to help pay for our supplies, then we will be able to raise more funds, to help us save more doggies, and to help care, rehabilitate, and provide training for the ones currently in our care 🦮🐾

🤩🐾♥️🐕

COULD YOU HELP LOVEABLE LOKI ?

This loveable, active/playful /boy is desperately in need of a loving new home (due to illness causing a change of circumstance with his current owner)

Loki enjoys beach walks/water play, 🌊playing fetch, 🥎 is sociable with other dogs of similar size and absolutely loves his humans. 🥰

Unfortunately he is in danger of being surrendered to the pound if we are unable to find someone to care for him within the next few days which is heart breaking for him to say the least.
Loki was abandoned as a pup, with the help of Rescue Hub he was adopted into what was thought to be his forever home but sadly, he is facing being left alone once again 🥲

Loki needs a family where someone would be home most of the time, or another dog to keep him company. Cuddles are his thing, the more the merrier, he is good around children, loves to be inside with the family, and will let you know when it’s toilet time. Storms and fireworks don’t faze him.
He currently sleeps inside and is crate trained.

🥲🥲🥲🐾🐾🐾🥲🥲🥲

‼️THIS SHOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN‼️

🙏 GORGEOUS RUBI NEEDS A SAVIOUR 🙏

Rubi was recently found tied to a tree with a note stating her name, and a bag of kibble 😮 Although she would have been super confused, she greeted her finders with much tail wagging and a huge smile. We are unsure whether she had spent the night in the bush or had been abandoned earlier that morning 😢

We do know that Rubi had been well cared for prior to this incident and that her owners had rehomed her a day or so earlier without doing ANY safety checks at all ☹️ We hope that Rubi’s story will enlighten people to how very dangerous this is to do to a loving pet, no matter the situation people may find themselves in, there is always assistance and guidance available from shelters, rescues or council.

Rescue Hub could not turn their back on Rubi. We have taken this beautiful innocent girl into care, but we are desperate for a foster carer or adoption for her. We are literally packed to the rafters with no kennel available for her. Lucky her finders offered to care for her until Friday 3rd of October ‼️ This places Rescue Hub volunteers under extreme pressure with finding somewhere safe for this gorgeous girl to go 😩

❤️ WHAT WE HAVE OBSERVED OF RUBI ❤️

- She is dog friendly with dogs of similar size to herself.
- Untested with cats or small dogs.
- Rubi has been great with two male staffy’s that have been sharing their home with her, they have not been left together unsupervised, have been fed seperate to her and had seperate rooms to sleep in.
- Rubi loves to rumble with the other dogs and has shown that she is responsive to correction from the other dogs and also to the carer, should play become a little too rough.
- Rubi is a strong dog, weighing 29kg , she walks well on lead. Being the super social butterfly, she eagerly wishes to greet other dogs and humans passing by, so she will pull in their direction and need your correction.
- Rubi travels well in the car, and her carer had no problem giving her a bath.
- She is super affectionate, sloppy kisses are freely handed out and she loves to potter around behind you.

🏡 Rubi would suit most any family dynamic, she is very good with children. She would also make a loyal companion for a couple, or a single person wanting a BFF 🥰

Given the traumatic circumstance that Rubi has been subjected to, she shows to be a well adjusted, fun loving dog that would be a perfect pet to share your home with 🩷

🐾💙 Bowie STILL needs a new home 💙 🐾

Bowie is an adorable, intelligent, affectionate, and food-motivated senior boy 😋 He’s done scent training, knows a wide range of commands (like stay, drop, come, heel, go crate and more), and thrives on mental stimulation. He especially enjoys games like “find my shoe” or food search puzzles. If you’ve got a Kong filled with peanut butter, you’ll win his heart! ❤️

Bowie is one of our assisted adoption boys, he is needing to find a new home as his owner has become physically unable to care for him the way he would like to, and does not want him to miss out on all the things he is used to like exercise and his walks. His owner wants Bowie to have the best life possible!

Bowie travels well in the car, walks nicely on a lead, and sleeps peacefully in his crate at night 😴 Bowie is a wonderful companion for someone experienced and patient who can continue the training he’s received through K9 Pro in Londonderry 👍

Bowie is looking for a calm household with no other pets and could he live with older children. Bowie promises to be a loyal, entertaining, and endlessly loving best friend 🤗 He is very friendly with people and enjoys human company. He has had some separation anxiety in the past, so a home where soeone is home more often than not would be ideal.

Rescue Hub are at the Pound Paws Dog day this Saturday 20th September 2025 🧡🖤

🧸💙Teddy still needs a new home 💙🧸

Teddy is one of our assisted adoption dogs which means he is still living with his current owner whilst we find him a new home. Teddy’s owner has become physically unwell and is unable to care for him the way she would like to 🥺

Just look at this gorgeous boy 🥰 just like his name, Teddy is just like a big teddy bear! You can hug him, play with him, sleep with him and take him everywhere with you!

He’s a gorgeous boy with a huge heart ❤️
He’s an affectionate puppy who brings joy wherever he goes. Teddy loves nothing more than heading out for a walk or a play in the yard, and he’s the first to snuggle up on the lounge for some well-earned cuddles at night 🤗

Teddy is house-trained and enjoys a mix of indoor and outdoor time. He’s great on the lead and absolutely adores meeting new people, his tail never stops wagging! 🐕 He’s especially good with teenagers, but due to his strength and enthusiasm, he may be a bit too much for younger children 🧒

Teddy shows a playful interest in other dogs, but he can sometimes come across as a bit too intense. He is still a puppy so with the right guidance and training, he could learn to have healthy social interactions with other dogs but for now he will need to be an only dog in the home 🐶

Teddy loves the company of his humans so he would thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not or where he has engaging toys and enrichment to keep him entertained 🦴🏀🪢

Teddy hasn't had formal obedience training, but he knows how to sit and shake hands like a true gentleman 🤝

Meet Buddy!
This 29kg bundle of energy is affectionate, ball-obsessed, and absolutely adores car rides. Buddy is toilet trained, walks well on a lead, and lives both indoors and outdoors. He’s great with other dogs, lives peacefully with cats, and thrives in an active home. While he can be cautious with new people at first, he warms up quickly and forms strong bonds. As a playful pup, he’s still learning his size, so a home with older children would be ideal.

Buddy knows basic commands like sit, lie down, shake, and “come here,” and would benefit from ongoing training and attention. He’d love a home with another pet or someone around often to keep him company and help channel his playful energy. Buddy sleeps happily in the bedroom and is ready to be someone’s loyal companion.

💙 ❌ Zeus is in need of a NEW home ❌ 💙

We have been asked to urgently assist with finding adorable Zeus a new home as despite all attempts to make this work, he is not getting along with another male dog in the home ☹️

Zeus is a gorgeous, clever and affectionate boy 🥰 He is very happy to lie at your feet whilst you work from home or follow you around in the garden. He also does well when left alone if you go to work, and will just find a chair to lay on to soak up the sun 🌞 He enjoys swimming in the summer, enjoys walks and is used to a halty harness.

He can be reactive to other dogs, and whilst he has had extensive training is not getting along with another male dog in the home making this difficult to manage. He can however sit, come when called, shake, heal, and walk well on a loose lead 👏 He has not lived with children.

He can be fearful of some loud noises and when anxious may chew his tail or dig 🥺 Continued effort to work on his anxiety will be needed.

Zeus will need a home with a dedicated family that are committed to his ongoing training, who can provide a loving, calm, safe and secure environment for him to be the best dog he can be ❤️
