Hello. I have been active as a Japanese drum player since I was 7 years old in the Japanese drum team Isohama Taiko, which has a history of more than 50 years, and became the third generation teacher. Playing a Japanese drum will help relieve stress and exercise. Also, because you can learn the rhythm, you can train your sense of rhythm. NEO Drum Isohama uses Isohama Taiko's original striking method, which includes advanced techniques. If you are interested in Wadaiko, please feel free to contact me. I'm accepting visits and trial lessons at any time! Music lovers are welcome! Let's have fun lessons together and get a good sweat.

‼️Guest performer alert‼️
We are very excited to announce fellow Cairns taiko performance group NEO Isohama Taiko as performers on the Drum ∞ Mugendai 10th anniversary concert stage 🤩🤩

NEO Drum Isohama traces its roots back to the original Japanese drumming group of the same name, which formed some 60 years ago in the Japanese city of Chiba, about 40 kilometres east of central Tokyo.
The Cairns group the audience will see on Saturday was re-established seven years ago by Yukiko Nakagawa, who, after a career as a professional taiko performer in Japan, came to Far North Queensland to take on the role as a third-generation leader of Isohama taiko.

🏆✨【25th All-Japan Bon-Daiko Taiko Drumming Championship】✨🏆

A member of "NEO Drum Isohama" (Yukiko Nakagawa) competed in the 「All-Japan Bon-Daiko Championship」held at Tower Hall Funabori in Edogawa Ward on Sun, Sep 20th, and successfully advanced to the finals! ❣️🌟
Although I didn't quite manage to win or place in the top ranks, it was a wonderful experience to test their skills against such high-level competition. 🍀💕
Despite feeling nervous on the big stage—and having resolved that this would be my one and only attempt—I found that the barrier to victory was a tough one to overcome. 💦😅
I want to use this sense of frustration as fuel to work even harder and practice more, so that one day I can make a comeback and succeed with the Bon-Daiko drumming I love so much. 💪💖
