A great day on the course, made even better by the people who came along and supported AFL Cape York House Foundation.

From our players and teams to sponsors, partners, volunteers, staff and special guests, it was fantastic to see everyone come together for a great cause.

Plenty of laughs, a few questionable golf shots and some great memories made along the way.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success.

Any successful AFL Cape York House Foundation event doesn’t happen without the generosity and support of so many and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the everyone who got behind our Charity Golf Day.

Whether you donated prizes for our raffles or auction, made a financial contribution, entered a team and joined us out on the course or supported the day in any way we are so grateful.

Every contribution, big or small, helped make the day a success and, most importantly, helps us continue supporting the young people connected to AFL Cape York House Foundation.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a generous village who continue to believe in what we do and the young people we support.

From all of us at AFL Cape York House Foundation, thank you for being part of another special day.

Seeing former Crusaders Charlie Cameron and Hamiso “The Hammer” Tabuai-Fidow continuing to achieve incredible things at the highest levels of their respective sports is something we are incredibly proud of.

Their journeys from Far North Queensland to the national stage are a wonderful example for our young people of where hard work, determination and believing in yourself can take you.

A couple of big names joined us on the course!

President of the Hawthorn Football Club, Andrew Gowers and GWS Giants AFL Player, Toby Bedford were part of the AFL Cape York House Foundation Golf Day, helping make the day even more memorable for everyone involved.

From sharing a few stories to getting out on the course, it was fantastic having both Toby and Andy there to support AFL Cape York House and the amazing people who support AFL Cape York Foundation.

Thankyou for getting involved!

A huge thank you to Tribal Sport for their amazing support of the AFL Cape York House Foundation Golf Day!

Tribal Sport generously donated shirts for the event, and they looked fantastic on the day. We’re incredibly grateful for the team’s support of the Foundation and for helping everyone look the part for what was an amazing day on the golf course!

It was also fantastic to have Jack Lake up in Cairns and be part of the day. Thankyou Jack and the entire Tribal Sport team for your ongoing support of AFL Cape York House Foundation.

We’re incredibly grateful to have great partners like you behind what we do.

📚 Indigenous Literacy Day is a celebration of the power of language, learning and storytelling.

Today, we recognise the importance of literacy in creating opportunities while celebrating the rich cultures and languages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Together, we can help empower the next generation to learn, grow and succeed.

On the 25 May, AFL Cape York House welcomed the aviation industry onto our oval.

Nautilus Aviation landed a helicopter on our grounds. Cairns Airport, Aviation Australia, Rex Airlines, MAF International, National Aviation Academy, the Royal Australian Air Force, the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and Toll Group came to our students, into our space, and spent the afternoon with them.

Close to 100 of our boys and girls had the chance to meet industry professionals, ask questions, and see what a career in aviation actually looks like up close. Watching our students engage with the people behind these careers was something special.

We are proud to be partnering with Gunggandji Aerospace on the Raising Horizons program here in Cairns. These are the kinds of opportunities we want for our young people: opportunities that see industry showing up for them and showing them how they belong in these spaces.

Thank you to Daniel Joinbee and the Gunggandji Aerospace team, and to every industry partner who gave their afternoon to our students. 💛
