👋 Meet Sarah Kelly — Young Dairy Network Leadership Committee Member

🌱 A sixth-generation dairy farmer based in Skye, Sarah is part of the last remaining dairy operation within metropolitan Melbourne. While her family’s time in the area is coming to an end, with plans to eventually relocate to greener pastures in Gippsland, dairy farming remains firmly at the heart of their lives.

🐄 Sarah is currently raising her four daughters on the farm and hopes they will continue the strong farming legacy passed down through generations before them.

🥛 A former Chair of the Young Dairy Network, Sarah led the committee for two years and continues to play an active role, supporting the network’s growth and ongoing success. 🚜

🤝 Passionate about advocacy, Sarah enjoys using social media to share her life on-farm and connect with others across the dairy community. Always up for a chat, she welcomes anyone keen to talk dairy, advocacy, or simply say hello 👋

👋 Meet Robbie Hughes — Young Dairy Network Leadership Committee Member

🌱 At just 24 years old, Robbie is already making his mark in the dairy industry as a Young Dairy Network (YDN) Leadership Committee member representing South Gippsland.

🐄 Growing up on the family farm, Robbie’s journey began with just a small herd of cows and a strong work ethic. Since then, he has continued to build his skills and experience, taking an exciting step forward into share farming with his fiancée, Tomei. 🚜

🥛 Based in Inverloch and proudly supplying Bulla, Robbie is passionate about the opportunities dairy can provide for young people. He believes the industry offers a genuine pathway to building a career and creating long-term wealth — often starting with something as simple as a pair of gumboots and a willingness to give it a go. 🥾

🤝 Through his involvement with YDN, Robbie is keen to connect with others, share his experiences, and support the next generation of dairy farmers to get started, grow, and thrive in the industry.
