Volunteer call out and Walk for Daniel
Lewis Park Reserve Saturday 31 October 2026

This Saturday, we’re proudly supporting Walk for Daniel, raising awareness of child safety and standing alongside the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. We encourage everyone to wear Red on Saturday.

Our volunteer roster still has a few gaps, and we’d LOVE your help. Let us know either by DM or a comment below.

Lewis Park Reserve parkrun

24th October 2026

This week 353 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 58 were first timers and 40 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 20 different clubs took part.

Lewis Park Reserve parkrun started on 22nd January 2022. Since then 7,962 participants have completed 47,211 parkruns covering a total distance of 236,055 km, including 7,535 new Personal Bests. A total of 564 individuals have volunteered 3,259 times.

Evening everyone. My name is Anita and I will be your Run Director for tomorrow’s Lewis Park Reserve parkrun – Event #238

A few quick reminders:

🏁 First Timers Briefing: 7:45am
📣 Start: 8:00am sharp
🚗 Parking: Bridgewood Court – please arrive early and follow our Car Park Marshals.
👕 Belongings: Place extra layers on the blue tarp near the finish line.

👧 Under 11s: Children under 11 must remain within arm’s reach of their parent, guardian or designated responsible adult for the entire 5km event. This is an important parkrun safeguarding requirement.

📱 Bring your barcode – no barcode, no time!

🏅 Finish tokens: Please scan and return your token to the board — don’t take it home! While you’re there, check out next week’s volunteer roster or come chat to me about being our next Run Director.

What a beautiful morning down at Lewis Park! You all came out and enjoyed a warm, sunny morning for a run and a walk!

This week 341 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 47 were first timers and 51 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 22 different clubs took part.
