🌳 🐝 🌳 🐝
Following up from our post last week about the wonderful Working Bee that happened on Saturday 17th October. We are very grateful to the wonderful families who came and helped make the afternoon such a success. This initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful support of the Wheen Bee Foundation. We were very proud to be a recipient of the Wheen Bee Foundation’s Trees for Bees Community Tree Grant.
Through this project, we planted pollinator-friendly trees and shrubs to create more food and habitat for bees and other pollinators.
Stage 2 students and garden club planted 80 year round flowering plants in the school grounds which will be a stepping stone for pollinators between Wamberal lagoon and local reserves bringing to life environment & habitat curriculum

Stay tuned as our planting project comes to life.
The grants are proudly supported by Flow and Rabobank’s Rabo Community Fund.

📣 **LOST PROPERTY RESCUE – TERM 4 UPDATE!** 👕🎒

Lost Property Rescue is back at Wamberal Public School!

This week, **16 items** were processed, including school jackets, hats and other clothing, ready to be returned to school.

🔎 **Have you checked the lost property photos?**

Head to the Wamberal Public School P&C page and check the photos to see if anything belongs to your child.

🏷️ **A little reminder:** Labelling uniforms, hats, lunch boxes and drink bottles with your child's name makes it much easier to reunite belongings with their owners.

♻️ **IMPORTANT CHANGE TO LOST PROPERTY**

Today, we donated all remaining unclaimed mufti clothing, lunch boxes and other non-uniform items that had been stored throughout last term to charity.

**These items will no longer be stored from one term to the next.** Please check lost property updates and arrange to collect your child's belongings promptly.

💚 **HAVE OUTGROWN SCHOOL UNIFORMS?**

Families can donate good-condition, outgrown school uniforms to Wamberal Public School's second-hand uniform shop at any time throughout the year. Every donation helps another family and gives uniforms a second life!

Lost Property Rescue is about helping families recover lost belongings, reducing waste and making lost property easier for our school community to manage.

**Please share this post and help spread the word!** 💚

Movie Night 2026 🍿 🎥
A BIG thank you to our amazing Sponsors for making tonight possible - Wamberal Metal Roofing, Wamberal Pharmacy, Coasties Magazine, Adam Crouch MP, Paul Hills - 'The Agency' - your generous donations allowed this wonderful community event to happen and we are very grateful! After postponing last term due to a storm it seemed like the weather was going to ruin things again tonight, but we got lucky and the rain stayed away, the winds eased and we could even see the moon! Prior to the movie were the Mini Maker markets where our wonderful young entrepreneurs sold their home made goods, well done everyone! Then time for everyone to enjoy some family time together watching Paddington In Peru. Thank you also to Dan from Rocket Boy Pizza for the yummy pizzas and fresh popcorn and to the wonderful team from Tropical Sno Central Coast for the delicious treats!
A BIG thank you to our wonderful volunteers for your work before and during this event, also to our dedicated Principal and Assistant Principal for all your work on the night. Finally a sincere thank you to our wonderful school community who turn up to support these events and help create these special memories for our children. We hope everyone had an enjoyable evening 🥰

Weather:
There is a slight chance of showers tomorrow. At this stage, the movie night is going ahead as planned. If heavy rain is forecast, we may need to move to an undercover area. We will share any updates tomorrow via School Bytes.

Mini Makers Market:
Remember to bring some cash to support our fabulous young makers at the Mini Makers Market, operating in the school hall from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Snack Items, Drinks and Glowsticks:
The P&C will again be operating a Movie Night snack, drink and glowstick stall. Chocolate bars, various chips, soft drink cans and water will be available to purchase, along with lots of fun glowsticks. Both cash and card payments will be accepted.

Other Food Options:
We have Tropical Sno joining us again with their delicious snow cones! Freshly popped popcorn will also be available at the pizza van.

Play Equipment:
The playground equipment will be closed due to the safety risks of playing on equipment in the dark. The area will be taped off, so please ensure children do not enter this space.
