⛵ SCYC Race Report – Saturday 3 October

A great day on the water for Round 2 of the FB Championship, with a pleasant 6–8 knots of southerly breeze providing some enjoyable racing.

Vince returned as OOD, joined by Steve and his wife from Maylands Sailing Club, who came along to see what we get up to on a Saturday.

Race 1 saw Ed & Jenny take the win, with Mitch finishing second — although Mitch had been comfortably in pole position until he somehow managed to turn a three-lap race into four laps, resulting in a spectacular Mitch-style meltdown!

Race 2 saw Mitch redeem himself by taking line honours, finishing ahead of Ed & Jenny. Unfortunately for Mitch, the handicap results had the last laugh, with Ed & Jenny taking their second win of the day.

Thanks to Vince and Roger for OOD duties and to Steve and his wife for joining us. Welcome to the new members 'The Mayne Family'. A great first sail from Harrison.

We hope you enjoyed the racing and the entertainment! 🍻⛵
