Today we were very proud to attend the presentation of Medals and Citations following the St Florian’s Day Awards that recognised the exceptional dedication, professionalism and care for fellow Kundle Moto volunteers who were badly injured in a fire truck rollover last year. The truck was on its way to a serious house fire
This was awarded to the local brigades who were called on to assist. They were from Tinonee, Lansdowne and Taree Brigades. Each crew member received their medals along with Kundle Moto members who attended in private vehicles to help their mates.
We are very proud of all these exceptional volunteers. We have posted photos of our Brigade members but look out for posts from all brigades and give them a thumbs up.

The 4th of May is St Florian's day, or International Firefighters Day, honouring the bravery and dedication of fire crews worldwide.

We value and appreciate the ongoing dedication and commitment of all our volunteers at Tinonee brigade.

Each year the RFS present awards to volunteers and staff who have displayed exceptional bravery protecting community or delivering the highest level of commitment to the service.

On 4th of May 2026, members of the Tinonee, Taree and Lansdowne Rural Fire Brigades received the Commissioner's Unit Citation For Service for their exemplary conduct and courage in response to the Kundle Moto Brigade truck roll-over.

Representatives from the three Brigades travelled to the NSW RFS Training Academy in Dubbo to receive the award on behalf of the Brigades.

Thought we would share our Federal Member’s note to our Captain Bruce Annetts. Bruce tries to hide from all photos and posts. But here it is:
Thank you Alison Penfold MP for acknowledging him and all our other RFS Medal recipients in Parliament.
