💙 Meet Bluey — From Sad Cries to Happy Chirps 💙
Many people in Stawell may have seen Bluey recently on our local community page. He was in a yard that wasn’t his, crying out for attention. Thankfully, people listened, and we were able to collect him the following morning.
It was immediately obvious that Bluey wasn’t well.
He then had to spend his required 8 days at the pound, as his owners had the right to claim him. The pound acted quickly and arranged for Bluey to see the vets — and that’s when we discovered just how much pain this poor boy had been in. 💔
Bluey had eight badly infected teeth that needed to be removed. We all know how awful a toothache can be, so imagine living with eight painful, infected teeth. 😿
He was started on antibiotics and a soft diet while he waited, and when he wasn’t claimed, Bluey came into our care.
He went straight to surgery where those painful teeth were removed. He was also desexed and microchipped.
And what a difference it has made! 💙
Bluey is now looking so much happier and brighter. His sad cries have turned into the sweetest little happy chirps. 🥰
He is such a sweet, affectionate boy who clearly loves people and attention. We are so grateful that people noticed him, spoke up and cared enough to make sure he was helped.
Bluey is still healing, so he is not quite ready for adoption yet. For now, he is being spoiled, loved and given the time he needs to recover.
💙 Could you help us with Bluey’s vet bill? 💙
His treatment, surgery, dental work, desexing and microchipping have all added up. If you would like to make a small donation towards his care, we would be incredibly grateful.
Every little bit helps — small amounts really do add up and allow us to continue helping cats like Bluey who have nowhere else to turn. 🐾
