Thank you, everyone, for joining our clean-up on Saturday. 9 people, Lions and friends of Lions participated in a very encouraging and energising morning clean up.

We picked up about 6-7kgs of rubbish containing cans, bottles, toffee wrappers, rubber, tissues, cardboard, plastic bags, cigarette butts and many more small plastic pieces.

Most items related to rubbish around Aluba and Field of Dreams. Surprisingly the local shops area was a bit cleaner, perhaps the council may have done a sweep sometime last week.

It was great work done by all and we appreciate all your help.
Data of our clean ups, as always are uploaded to the Clean up Australia website and are counted as part of the national waste statics.

We meet on the 1st Saturday of every month at 8am near Vernon Street car park on Kissing point road if you ever like to join in and help.

8:00am Saturday 2nd May.
SOUTH Turramurra Street Clean up. Another deed done and feeling satisfied that we contributed to another Community cause.

Clean ups are always a great way for us to walk talk and do a really good deed in the local area and simultaneously remove waste and litter in our surroundings enhancing the beautiful leafy areas we live in. Keep it clean is the idea and message.

Yesterday we picked up around 4kgs of rubbish from the south Turramurra streets. Lesser than usual but what ever was left over from after the rains, but all the rest stopped from washing in to creek.

The usual cigarette butts, cans, bottles, toffee wrappers, tissues, paper straws, a pair of shorts, form and plastic sandwich bags. All removed from the streets and parks.

Kissing point road, maxwell street and near Turramurra High school. Vernon Street BBQ area, Field of Dreams, aluba Oval, balmaringa and the shops area.

Thank you all the volunteers Beverley Gwatkin, Kim Retson-Yip, Tamara Wicks, Sharon and Chris Beckette and Annette Erdstein for your time and efforts in volunteering

Dutiful to have attended the ANZAC Day Ceremony organised by the St Ives Lions Club held at the village green in St Ives.

Our Fund-raisers support our work in the community and help the environment and other humanitarian causes we support.

To our Lion volunteers and Y4D young helpers we thank you for your time and efforts in working through this day cooking and selling sausage sizzles. To all the customers who purchased a sausage sizzle, Thnak you too.
