🎃 BELVEDERE PARKRUN #72 👻
📅 Saturday 31 October 2026

Well, Belvedere certainly got into the Halloween spirit this morning. 🎃

We had a giant Yoda marshalling, Forrest doing what Forrest does best, Snow White making an appearance and even an alien dropping in for a visit. Just your average Saturday morning at Belvedere, really. 😂

131 of you joined us for a run, jog or walk around the park, and with Chase the Pace on the calendar, there were plenty of people chasing down those PBs.

A warm welcome to our visitors from Korumburra, Doncaster and Lilydale, along with our 11 first timers. We hope you enjoyed our slightly spooky little corner of the world. 💙

🏃‍♀️ CHASE THE PACE

A huge thank you to our wonderful pacers who helped make this morning’s Chase the Pace happen.

And what a morning it was, with 34 shiny new PBs recorded. That’s more than a quarter of our finishers heading home with a new personal best. Not a bad way to start the weekend. 👏

Whether you were chasing a particular time, encouraging someone along the way or simply enjoying your Saturday morning 5km, we love seeing our community getting around each other.

📊 TODAY’S STATS

🏃‍♀️ 131 finishers
✨ 11 first timers
🔥 34 shiny new PBs
👕 13 clubs represented
🎃 Plenty of spooky characters on course

🎃 THURSDAY GEE UP! 👻

It's a Halloween edition of Chase the Pace at Belvedere parkrun this Saturday!

Beth is your Run Director, and we've rounded up a crew of pacers to help you chase down that elusive PB. No pressure, guys. 😅

The weather is looking a bit spooky too. Around 18°C with a chance of showers. Hopefully the rain decides to sleep in!

👻 Fancy dress is encouraged, but completely optional. Although if you've ever wanted to run 5km dressed as a hot dog, this is your moment.

⏱️ OUR PACERS

🎃 19:00 - Nick J
🎃 20:00 – Greg W
🎃 22:30 – Ben F
🎃 23:30 – Kieran S
🎃 25:00 – Ben
🎃 27:30 – Sam W
🎃 30:00 – Mark
🎃 32:30 – Anthony
🎃 35:00 – Davina

A big thanks to our pacers for putting their hands up. Whether you're after a PB or just want someone else to worry about the pace, they've got you covered.

⏰ THE PLAN

7:50am – First Timers Welcome
7:55am – Main Briefing
8:00am – Go Time!

☕ Brekky and coffee afterwards at the Bowlo, because we all know that's half the reason we turn up.

See you Saturday, Belvedere. Come Chase the Pace! 🏃‍♀️🎃

🌊 BELVEDERE PARKRUN #71 💜
📅 Saturday 24 October 2026

Another lovely Saturday morning at Belvedere, with 133 of you getting your weekend started with a run, jog or walk around the park. 💜

A warm welcome to our first timers, and congratulations to everyone who walked away with a shiny new PB this morning.

📊 TODAY’S STATS

🏃‍♀️ 133 finishers
✨ 12 first timers
🔥 25 PBs
👕 12 clubs represented
🐶 We’re glad Lexie found her mum!

🦺 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR 12 VOLUNTEERS

Karen M. • Sarah N. • Michelle T. • Chrissy W. • Sally D. • Alexander M. • Beth T. • Corinne R. • Mark L. • David Z. • Alexis B. • Melissa B. 💜

As always, parkrun simply doesn’t happen without our volunteers. Thank you for giving your time to keep Belvedere ticking over each Saturday.

🚨🦺 WE NEED TWO BARCODE SCANNERS FOR NEXT SATURDAY

Before we can open up our Chase the Pace positions, we need to fill TWO barcode scanning spots.

If you’re a regular at Belvedere but haven’t volunteered yet, we’d love for you to give it a go. Barcode scanning is one of the easiest roles, we’ll show you exactly what to do, and you’ll earn yourself a volunteer credit too.

Can you help us out next Saturday? Pop a comment below and we’ll add you to the roster. 🙋‍♀️💜

Once those two spots are filled, we’ll put the call out for our pacers.

🎃 NEXT WEEK — HALLOWEEN & CHASE THE PACE

We’re bringing a little spooky fun to Belvedere next Saturday. Come along in your Halloween best — costumes, spooky accessories or just a splash of orange and black. 👻

And of course, it’s Chase the Pace, so whether you’re chasing a PB or just enjoying your Saturday morning 5km, we’d love to see you there.
