Project Fresh Start Inc. We are a not-for-profit group that provides free vegan food to disadvantaged people in Frankston.

Our purpose is to understand the issues that affect our local community and respond in a manner that doesn't compromise our values. We believe that everyone has the right to live a happy and healthy life and we focus on helping to remove the barriers that people face in achieving these outcomes. Our focus is on providing free, healthy fresh plant-based food and education around healthy eating and living in a way that sustains the individual, the community, the animals, and the planet.

This weeks recipe bag is a simple satay ready for delivery tomorrow to Orwil Street Community House Inc. This can be made with tofu or plant based chicken. We are incredibly grateful to Vegan Perfection for the huge donation of delicious plant based schnitzel and spicy pieces we have been using. for our meals at Bloom community fridge and our recipe bags 🙏♥️🌱

🥕 The community fridge at Orwil Street Community House Inc is full with our very first recipes and ingredient bags!

Each bag contains a recipe and ingredients to make a meal serving four, with some ingredients already chopped and measured to make preparing dinner a little easier. 💚

Community fridge update - We are back this week with meals today from 10 at our community fridge at Bloom Cafe and we are rolling out our recipe bags starting tomorrow at Orwil Street Community House Inc community fridge. All our meals and bags are being prepared by our amazing supported volunteer program. This pilot program funded by Social Inclusion Action Group and hosted in the kitchen provided by Frankston Life Community Inc. is essential for getting this food out to the community during our transition out of our previous shared larger kitchen ♥️🙏🌱

Well that’s a wrap for our fundraiser - we’re all pretty tired but so happy and grateful for your support 👏💚🥰

Special shout out to Terri and the team at Scotties Garage for donating their fab venue for us.
For Oh My Doner Melb for coming all the way to Seaford to feed the peeps and then donate the profits.
Our bands were on fire today - thank you The Shady Past Band, Dub Generation and Witchhazel.
Here’s a vid of the incredible Aurora Flair who brought colour and energy to the day!

We’ll post the final total of monies raised this week and acknowledge the great individuals and organisations who supported our silent auction.

Melbourne's favourite food truck Oh My Doner Melb will be out front selling their Berlin inspired street food and then donating all proceeds to PFS so we can continue to provide nutritious, delicious meals to those in need in our community.
