Sandringham Lions Club are at Bayside City Council, Victoria Children’s Week event.
There was a light drizzle of rain as we setup, fortunately it cleared.
The morning started out slow and then around 10.30am they came in their droves for a free snag.
We cooked 450 snags and 14 veggie burgers and 7kgs of onions in 3 hours, it was crazy!!
There were plenty of activities for the kids, from a magic show, petting farm, art, face painting, free books, live music, performing artists, fire brigade, police car, and the CWA with their yummy baked goods.
A huge shoutout to Carnegie Lions Club for loaning us their BBQ trailer and Wilf from our club for towing it to and the event.
Also our fantastic members who helped setup and pack up, cooked and served snags today.

The residents from Aveo the George, students from Sandringham East Primary School and Sandringham Lions Club came together and celebrated with the graduation of the Intergenerational Program that was completed last term.
We are delighted to be a part of this amazing program and to watch beautiful relationships grow throughout the weeks.
A big shoutout to Wayne and Cath for facilitating the program, Sean and the teaching staff at SEPS, this wouldn’t be possible without you.
