Our aim is to bring the community together and make use of existing resources. This will be achieved through shared learning in workshops and open discussions, addressing all basic RAW aspects of life including gardening, cooking, story telling and much more. The platform of our vision is our 'Healing Garden' which is beginning to take shape with amazing help of our many wonderful volunteers.

What a great day at the RAW Garden!
Bayside City Council and The Urban Nanna ran their fermentation workshop here on Saturday, and it sold out completely. 🫙

This is what we love about this space. It fills up with people, it comes alive, and it becomes exactly what the community needs. Garden tours, workshops, gatherings, celebrations. It all happens here.

Come gather with us for our Solstice Fire and Feast 🔥

We’re marking the winter solstice, World Localisation Day, and the wrap of our Capacity, Community and Connection project all in one beautiful afternoon at the garden.

📅 Sunday 21 June, 2pm–5pm
📍 325 South Road, Brighton East

Come see how the garden has grown, wander through with us, and find out if R.A.W. could be the spot for your next class, workshop or community gathering.

On the day we’ve got garden tours, flower and veggie arranging, therapeutic horticulture, medicinal plants, craft, a Chi Gong demonstration, plus storytelling and entertainment to round it out.

In true solstice style, bring a grazing plate to share 🫶🏻

Celebrate International Women’s Day with Bayside City Council and R.A.W.

Join us for two R.A.W Women’s Circle gatherings, where we will come together to share stories, connect and celebrate in a welcoming, confidential and judgement-free space.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, Balance the Scales, reflects our commitment to ensuring every woman and girl, no matter their background or
identity, is safe, heard and free to shape their own lives.

R.A.W is dedicated to the strength of connection, women, and diversity.

Women and gender-diverse people aged 18 and over are invited to attend.

Big shoutout to the team of seven staff from who joined us this week!

They’re the company that provides water and sanitation in Africa, Asia and South America — and you’ve probably seen their toilet paper, kitchen towels and tissues in supermarkets.

They did a wonderful job of weeding, cleaning and generally getting the garden into shape. Thank you again!

We run our volunteer Garden Club every Tuesday from 11am to 1pm . If you are looking to get your hands in the garden come and help us and meet our lovely community 🌿 DM us for more info.

- We have signed up for on Saturday 8 November between 10am and 2.00pm. - 💚

This is a fund raiser for R.A.W. and an opportunity to for us to clear out our cupboards for a fresh spring start to summer…one person’s used items are another’s treasure as they say! Come and check out the garden and browse for clothes, books, household items at bargain prices…there will lemon cordial on sale made from our lemon tree

We had a visit last week from students from Victoria university. We weeded, and shared stories under the sun, reminding ourselves that growing food and community are acts of care, connection, and resilience. The garden came alive with laughter, learning, and a whole lot of love. A massive thank you to these wonderful students for showing up and digging deep, quite literally! Your presence has planted more than seeds today 💚
