🌟🦘 Night Adventure at Tinchi Tamba! 🦘🌟

Our Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts recently enjoyed a wonderful evening exploring the beautiful Tinchi Tamba Wetlands Reserve. 🌙✨

As the sun set, we were treated to a sky full of stars ⭐ and even spotted a small mob of kangaroos grazing nearby. Unfortunately for the kangaroos, the excitement of our enthusiastic Scouts was a little too much, and they soon bounded off into the distance! 😂🦘

The Cubs put their navigation skills to the test, using maps 🗺️ and signposts to find their way around the reserve. Along the way, they demonstrated great teamwork, observation skills and confidence as they explored the trails.

It was a fantastic night outdoors, full of adventure, learning and plenty of fun. A great time was had by all! ⚜️😊

📍 We meet during Queensland school terms at the Sandgate Scout Hall.

~~~ Joey Scouts (5–8 years) ~~~
🕕 Wednesday nights: 6:15pm – 7:15pm
**Joeys must have had their 5th birthday and be eligible for school before commencing.**

~~~ Cub Scouts (8–11 years) ~~~
🕡 Wednesday nights: 6:30pm – 8:00pm

~~~ Scouts (11–15 years) ~~~
🕡 Thursday nights: 6:30pm – 8:30pm

~~~ Venturer Scouts (15–18 years) ~~~
🕡 Thursday nights: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
*Venturers who turn 18 during their final year of high school may remain in Venturers until 31 December of that year.*

~~~ Rover Scouts: (18–25 years) ~~~
🌏 Adventure doesn't stop at 18! Rovers continue their Scouting journey through exciting activities, service, leadership and travel opportunities.

Our Group offers exciting programs for young people from Joeys through to Venturers, providing opportunities to build confidence, develop leadership skills, make lifelong friendships, and experience amazing adventures along the way.

🏕️🏎️ BAANYA 2026 – Bigger Than Ben! 🏛️⚔️

Brisbane North Region Scouts recently came together for the annual BAANYA camp, this year themed "Bigger Than Ben" — a unique blend of motorsport 🏎️ and Ancient Rome 🏛️!

Scouts spent Saturday building their team garages 🔧 and honing their pit-stop skills before taking to the track on Sunday for the chariot time trials 🏁.

Our two Sandgate patrols, Sirocco Racing and Stratos Racing, worked brilliantly as teams throughout the weekend 👏. While we didn't quite make the podium 🏆, we came very close and were incredibly proud of the effort, teamwork, and determination shown by all involved 💪.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Scout camp without a little rain 🌧️ during setup and pack-down, and a few pieces of slightly overcooked bacon 🥓 along the way! 😄

A fantastic weekend was had by all, and we're already looking forward to the next adventure 🌟

On 29 April 2026, we celebrated an exciting night of achievement and adventure! 🎉

Three of our Joey Scouts were proudly presented with their Joey Scout Challenge Award badges after completing badges in bushcraft, bushwalking, and camping, as well as undertaking an Adventurous Journey through the beautiful Boondall Wetlands. 🌿🥾⛺

The evening was also filled with new beginnings as we invested three new Joey Scouts and four new Cub Scouts into the Group, while two Joey Scouts took the next big step in their Scouting journey and moved up to Cub Scouts. 🐨➡️🐺

Congratulations to all our Scouts on their fantastic achievements and milestones — we’re so proud of you all! 👏

Our Scouts were proud to take part in this year’s ANZAC Day March, joining the community to honour and remember the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

Despite the heavy rainfall, our Scouts showed great resilience and respect, standing alongside veterans and fellow community members throughout the march.

It was a meaningful experience for our young people to reflect on the importance of ANZAC Day.

Lest we forget 🌺

🔥🐺Big adventure. Big effort. 🐺🔥

One of our Cub Scouts recently led his Grey Wolf Adventurous Journey around the incredible Glass House Mountains — tackling the Trachyte and Tibrogargan Circuits like an absolute legend.

Not satisfied with just a hike, we pushed on for a few extra hours to complete the all-day bushwalk requirement for Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 💥

Safe to say… tired legs, big smiles, and a seriously awesome day out!
