What a great few days at the Rocky Show! 🎡

We loved connecting with the community, chatting with visitors, meeting new faces, and sharing the importance of healthy waterways across the Fitzroy Basin.

A special thank you to everyone who joined in our kids’ river clean-up activity, spun the wheel, and entered our $300 BCF voucher competition. It was wonderful to see so many people connecting with our river health message and having the chance to meet Mindi the Barramundi!

We enjoyed being part of this fantastic community event and sharing our passion for protecting the waterways we all share.

The Fitzroy Partnership for River Health, in collaboration with CQUniversity Australia and BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Heart of the Basin Scholarship.

This $10,000 scholarship supports CQUniversity research students studying Honours, Masters by Research or PhD, with a focus on improving waterway health and understanding waterways in the Fitzroy Basin. It is proudly supported through BMA’s Social Investment Funding, which helps drive collaborative environmental and community outcomes across the region.
