💙 AINTREE RESERVE JUNIOR PARKRUN #51
What a fantastic morning at Aintree Reserve!

We welcomed 23 junior finishers to this morning’s event, supported by an incredible 14 volunteers who helped make the magic happen! 🙌

🌟 A MORNING FULL OF ACHIEVEMENTS!

👏 Congratulations to the 3 our PB achievers:
🎉 A huge welcome to our 9 first timers! We hope you loved your first junior parkrun and that we’ll see you again soon!

🏅 Congratulations to everyone who ran, walked, jogged, volunteered or cheered from the sidelines. Every single one of you makes our Sunday mornings special!

💙 VOLUNTEERS MAKE JUNIOR PARKRUN HAPPEN!

We want to give a HUGE shout-out to our amazing volunteers this morning.

From our Run Director and timekeeper to our marshals, barcode scanners, finish token team and everyone helping behind the scenes, every role matters.

Junior parkrun simply couldn’t happen without you!

📣 WE NEED YOU! VOLUNTEER
VACANCIES AVAILABLE!

We have vacancies on our volunteer roster over the coming weeks and would absolutely love some new and familiar faces to jump in and help.

You don’t need to be a runner, you don’t need experience, and you certainly don’t need to commit every week. Whether you can help once or become a regular, every volunteer makes a difference.

A few important things to know:
✅ All volunteers must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
✅ There are a variety of roles available.
✅ Full guidance is provided.
✅ It’s a wonderful way to support our local community and encourage our junior participants.

If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, now is the perfect time!

👉 Check out our future roster and put your hand up for a role. We would love to have you on the team!

See you next Sunday!

🌧️☔ Aintree Reserve junior parkrun #50 – A very wet milestone! 🎉

After a week of temperatures hovering around 30°C, Melbourne decided to change things up and give us a good soaking this morning! 😂 At least it was still warm!

But a little (or a LOT of) rain wasn't going to stop our four absolute superstars from showing up and completing their 2km! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👏

A massive WELL DONE to all four juniors! You certainly earned your bragging rights this morning! 💪

🎉 Today also marked our 50th event at Aintree Reserve! We're now closing in on a full year since relocating from our original home at Eynesbury Heritage Trail. What a journey it's been, and what a wonderful community we've continued to build along the way!

💛 A HUGE thank you to our fantastic team of volunteers who turned up in the rain, umbrellas in hand, to make sure our juniors could enjoy another Sunday morning of parkrun. Your dedication and enthusiasm are what keep this event going, rain or shine!

And a special shout-out to Daniel. P, who has taken home all the wet gear to wash the volunteer vests and dry everything out, so we don't all turn up next Sunday smelling like a damp laundry basket! 😂🙌

To our juniors, families and volunteers, thank you for being part of our little parkrun community. Whether we have 4 participants or 40, every single one of you matters, and we're grateful you continue to show up 🙏

Hopefully everyone has managed to dry off and warm up!

See you next Sunday for event #51! 🌳

Big Dan 💪

A big WELL DONE to all 14 junior parkrunners who joined us for event #48 this morning! 🎉👏

We welcomed 1 first timer to our wonderful parkrun community, and a big congratulations to everyone who achieved a new personal best (PB)! 🏅

🫧 The bubble wands made an appearance this morning! Although, judging by the smiles, we're not entirely sure who enjoyed them more... the kids or some of our volunteers! 🤣😂

💪 A HUGE thank you to our 15 amazing volunteers who helped make this morning possible.

☀️ It's shaping up to be a hot one today, with temperatures expected to reach 25°C! Make sure you stay hydrated, keep cool and enjoy the sunshine!

Have a fantastic Sunday, everyone, and we'll see you next week for more smiles, high-fives and perhaps a few more bubbles! 🫧😄
