Trees In Newcastle

Trees In Newcastle Trees In Newcastle is a not for profit, community organisation focusing on the region's biodiversity.

Trees In Newcastle-TIN was born in 1989 from the passion of a few people who wanted to plant 'more trees in Newcastle'. Since then TIN has grown to become a volunteer & education centre and provider of bush regeneration services. The organisation relocated to Belmont Wetlands State Park in June 2017. We continue to provide volunteer opportunities and bush regeneration services.

Ricinocarpos pinifolius β€” Wedding Bush 🀍

Delicate, graceful and absolutely stunning, even the name Wedding Bush sounds elegant. It’s a beautiful addition to any garden, with its soft foliage and masses of white blooms.

We will have this stunner available in forestry tubes and 140mm pots this Friday from 9am–1pm.

Hope to see you there 🀍🌱

🌿 Do you want to help the environment and make a real difference locally? 🌿

This week an exciting crowdfunding campaign has been launched for a new Tiny Forest at Blacksmiths Public School.

Tiny forests, are fast growing, powerhouses that provide so many benefits to communities. They help cool surrounding areas, improve air quality, support wildlife and pollinators, increase biodiversity, reduce urban heat, and create greener, healthier spaces for future generations.

The goal is to raise $28,000 in 28 days to deliver the project, and every donation or share helps!

The Groundswell Collective

Today we’re incredibly excited to launch our biggest community campaign yet 🌱

We have just 28 days to crowdfund Blacksmiths next tiny forest - and we're ready to plant as soon as we hit our goal.

Blacksmiths has one of the lowest tree canopy coverage rates in Lake Macquarie. Together, we can help transform a hot, exposed part of the school into a thriving native forest filled with shade, biodiversity and opportunities for children to connect with nature.

Can you help us get there?

Donate or share today πŸ‘‡
