Bush Regeneration Team Leader – Make a Real Impact Outdoors

Are you a Bush Regenerator with excellent organisation skills who takes pride in completing quality work every day? Join Trees in Newcastle and guide a passionate crew restoring native bushland across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and the Hunter.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and motivate a small team on bush regeneration projects.
Plan and coordinate daily activities.
Hands-on work: w**d control, native planting, seed collection.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working order.
Daily reporting and site monitoring.


What You’ll Bring:

Minimum 3 years experience in bush regeneration or ecological restoration.
Cert III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management (or equivalent).
ChemCert/AQF3, driver’s licence, and strong plant ID skills.
Availability to work 4-5 days per week Monday to Friday.
Ability to drive a manual vehicle

10 days to go. 🌱
When we launched our crowdfunding campaign, we knew it was ambitious.
Today, we're inching closer to making the Blacksmiths Community Tiny Forest a reality.
We've raised over half of our goal, and the site, school, and community are ready.
Now we need one final push.
We still need around $9,000 in the next 10 days to bring this project to life.
While the forest will be planted at Blacksmiths Public School, its impact extends far beyond the school gates. This project will create habitat for wildlife, help cool our urban environment, connect children and community members with nature, and demonstrate what's possible when a community comes together to take action. Plus, you’ll be invited to come help plant!
