📣📣 **IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL RCGI MEMBERS!** 📣📣

Our **Special General Meeting (SGM)** is happening **this Monday**, and we would love to see as many of our members there as possible!

📅 **Monday, 7 September**
⏰ **Starting promptly at 4:15 pm**
📍 **Ravenswood Community Centre**

This is an important meeting for the future of Ravenswood Community Group Inc. Members will be asked to vote on whether to adopt our **proposed new Constitution**.

Before the vote takes place, we will hold a **10-minute question time**. This will give members the opportunity to ask any final questions or seek clarification about the proposed Constitution.

🗳️ **Please remember that only current members are eligible to vote.**

Every member’s voice matters, and your attendance helps ensure this important decision is made with strong participation from our membership.

☕🍪 **Free refreshments will be provided for everyone attending.**

⚓ A PIECE OF WA HISTORY STILL STANDING! 🌊

While travelling through Exmouth recently, we got to see the incredible remains of the SS Mildura, which was wrecked at North West Cape in 1907.

More than 119 years later, parts of this 91-metre steamship can still be seen above the water! 😮

We’ve included an old photo of the Mildura alongside our photos of what remains today it’s amazing to see the difference.

WA certainly has some incredible history hiding along its coastline! ⚓🌊

💙 FREE ALCOHOL & OTHER DRUG COUNSELLING – LOCAL SUPPORT 💙

We’re sharing this important local service from Palmerston, providing free, confidential and non-judgemental alcohol and other drug counselling in Pinjarra and Waroona.

Support is available whether you’re concerned about your own alcohol or drug use, or the use of someone close to you.

Services include:

* Individual alcohol and other drug counselling
* Support for family members and significant others
* Face-to-face and telehealth appointments
* Support that can work alongside your existing GP or healthcare team
* No referral is needed – you can refer yourself

📍 Pinjarra – Mondays & Thursdays, 10am–4pm
Forrest Medical Centre (Old Hospital), 1 McKay Street

📍 Waroona – Tuesdays, 9:30am–2:30pm
Community Resource Centre, 10 Henning Street

The printer is running and production of the September Murray Community Newspaper has officially begun! 🖨️✨

And this month we’ve grown again…

📖 36 PAGES packed with local news, community stories, updates, businesses, events and more!

We’re incredibly proud of how the newspaper continues to grow with every edition. We’re learning as we go, listening to our community and working hard to make each edition even better than the last. 💙

Over the next few days, more than 1,500 FREE copies will be printed and prepared for delivery to our distribution points throughout the Murray region.

We honestly can’t wait for you to get your hands on the September edition! 👀📰
