We are a small, private, no-kill animal rescue based in Port Lincoln. Please DM us if you are interested in fostering or adopting cats or kittens! 🐾

As a self-funded, non-profit organisation, we’re dedicated to giving animals a second chance at life. We may be crazy cat ladies but we will do everything in our power to save all companion animals from neglect, harm and abandonment, and find them safe and happy homes. We are 110% dedicated to all animals that come into our care. We keep them in foster care until we are confident they are ready to be rehomed. All our animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea & worm treated and will receive any veterinary care needed before going to their forever homes…

We do not have a shelter but run on a valuable foster care network, we find caring for kittens & cats in a home environment is more beneficial for them. Without the stress of being constantly confined to a cage we get to know all aspects of the cats behaviour and get them prepared for life in their future forever homes …

We always need new foster carers for our animals. If you have room in your heart and home to foster an animal in need please contact us for an application form…We promise you wont regret it!

We've seen two posts today that just break our hearts 💔. This is the reality of rescue. This is the reality of kitten season. This is the reality of not having effective cat management.

Cat Adoption Foundation's post:

Purrfect Paws Rescue Incorporated's post:
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19jKRYUTEs/

Containment won't fix this. Cat limits won't fix this. Statewide subsidised desexing programs that include owned, semi-owned and unowned cats would fix this.

How much longer do rescue volunteers have to pick up the pieces? How much longer do volunteers have to experience this grief and loss before people start to listen? How much longer do we all need to beg and scream into the void to desex your cats until people start doing it?

We've been running since 2021 and every year we see the same thing over and over again. Rescues begging and pleading for people to desex their cats. Rescues posting about grieving another death. More urgent cases, more neonate kittens, more litters found dumped.

Society needs to change. Cats need to be valued as much as dogs are. Councils and the State Government need to start being proactive instead of focusing on enforcement. Subsidised desexing programs are backed by Australian research and are already running in other states. Catching and killing cats has been tried for decades and the numbers keep growing. It's time to start doing something to stop this.

When we comment that rescues are burning out, we don't mean us. We mean the entire sector. Rescues can't keep going like this.

Please support your local rescues. Whether it's us, Cat Adoption Foundation, Purrfect Paws Rescue Incorporated or one of the many others... share their posts, donate, foster if you can. All rescues can only keep going with community support.

Read their stories. Email your councils and MPs, ask for subsidised desexing. It's the only way anything is ever going to change.

We have been asked to assist in finding a foster home for these 2 bonded pair that have found themselves alone as their owner has been put in remand and his future is unknown as with information regarding the cats. There is an eviction notice in place for this coming Monday so it is urgent that we find a place, there is cat accessories and food and we could help with ongoing food if you are able to help please message the page Thank you

We are all feeling just so greatfull for the huge response to our recent post.

We now have enough Wombaroo Kitten Milk replacer to last us for a while .... but unfortunately there were kind people who went into Petstock to buy Royal Cannin Mother and Baby cat biscuits but there were none on the shelf !!!
I beleive Petstock will be ordering more or they can be ordered online.

A HUGE thank you to PETRA and MYLES for the 36 cans of Royal Cannin Kitten moose, this is the best nutrition for tiny kittens just starting to eat solids and for very malnourished kittens. And also several bags of biscuits 🥰

Also a HUGE thank you to Gail for your donation of 4 X 1 kilo Wombaroo Kitten Milk boxes. This is high in protein and just what starving Kittens need.

Also to Mel for hand delivering the 4 boxes of Kitten Milk to our door. Mel and her husband have a local business called Oz Fur kids Whelping supplies, they r extremely competitive and can match or do even better prices on all foods and supplies.

Also Petstocks donation bin was chocka block full yesterday... so a massive thanks to the Port Lincoln community who donated so generously, sorry we dont have your names just know we appreciate you 🥰❤️

FOREVER GREATFULL 😻😻😻

This is a massive heart felt shout out to anyone who can help us out!!!

We have rescued 9 tiny kittens rangeing from 3.5 weeks old to 6 weeks.

2 of them their mumma cat had been bitten by a snake and died and a beautiful member of the public found them starving and screaming for food , skinny, and malnourished and in very poor condition.

6 were from a local colony and one kitten was a give away from a local town, the people that picked this little one up realise that it was far too young to be taken away from its mumma and contacted us for specialised feeding care and help.

These 2 products we are in DESPERATE need of ...
MOTHER and BABY CAT BISCUITS and WOMBAROO KITTEN REPLACER ...

These products are hideously expensive!!! If u r able to help out, please purchase from PETSTOCK Port Lincoln or online and drop into our donation bins ay WOOLWORTHS, COLES, DRAKES and PETSTOCK or contact us for pick up or drop off.
Thank you in advance... please give generously 😻😻😻
