🌿 Lead with purpose. Create lasting change.

Yarredi Services is seeking a passionate and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation into its next chapter.

We're looking for a leader who understands the complexity of this work. Someone who values compassion as much as strategy, can inspire and support a dedicated team, and is committed to strengthening safer communities through strong leadership and meaningful partnerships.

If you're passionate about making a genuine difference and have the experience to lead a well-established community organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

🤍 Can our community help? 🤍

Yarredi Services is currently looking for a secure storage space to help us continue supporting women and children escaping domestic and family violence.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we have very limited storage capacity on site and are currently seeking a donated or low-cost space where we can safely store essential items, including:

• Dignity Bags filled with toiletries and everyday essentials
• Buddy Bags for children entering emergency situations
• Donated clothing
• Furniture and household items that help families establish a new home after leaving violence

These donations provide comfort, dignity and practical support during some of the most difficult times in a person's life. Having somewhere to safely store them means we can continue responding when families need us most.

If you, your workplace, or someone you know has an appropriate storage shed, garage, warehouse, or other secure storage space that may be suitable, we'd love to hear from you.

Please send us a private message or contact Yarredi Services on 8683 0311 if you think you might be able to help.

Thank you for supporting our community and helping us continue this important work. 🤍

Yesterday we said farewell to a ray of sunshine… ☀️

After 11 years at Yarredi, Jo Wilkins has officially begun a well-earned retirement.

Jo has been a calm presence, a gentle listener and a compassionate advocate for countless children, women and families in our community. Through her work in case management and children’s wellbeing, she has quietly changed lives in ways that will continue to ripple for years to come.

At yesterday’s farewell, someone shared a beautiful thought: that in the years ahead, children and families will continue to come forward, remembering the difference Jo made during some of the hardest times in their lives. We have no doubt that will be true.

Jo, thank you for your kindness, your wisdom and the care you’ve given so generously to both our clients and our team. Yarredi is a better place because of you, and it has been a privilege to work alongside you.

While we’ll miss seeing you in the office and at the table, we’re so happy that you’ll continue supporting our community through your private counselling practice, and we hope retirement also brings plenty of treasured time in your favourite new role… being “Nanny.” 💕

Wishing you every happiness in this next chapter, Jo. Thank you for everything.

We’d also like to warmly welcome Zelma Tolley to the Yarredi team. We’re looking forward to the journey ahead and are excited to have you with us. 💜

💜 A Kind Call for Support 💜

As we approach the end of the financial year, we're reaching out to our wonderful community with a heartfelt request.

Yarredi Services is currently experiencing a shortage of donations that help us provide immediate, practical support to women and children leaving domestic and family violence, including Aboriginal families experiencing family violence.

One of the ways we support our clients is through our food bank and emergency assistance. These resources help families put food on the table and begin rebuilding their lives during one of the most challenging times they may ever face.

If you are in a position to help, we are gratefully accepting:

💜 Cash donations
💜 Financial contributions
💜 Woolworths or Coles gift vouchers

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. It helps us provide essential items and practical support as women and children establish safe, independent lives free from violence.

Please note that due to limited storage capacity, we are unable to accept material donations at this time.

Donations can be made via our website or in person at Yarredi Services, 13 Dutton Street, Port Lincoln.

With 30 June marking the final day of the financial year, all donations over $2 or more are tax deductible.

Thank you for helping us create a safer, more respectful and connected community. Your kindness has a lasting impact on the lives of local families when they need it most. 💜

This week I resigned from my position as CEO at Yarredi Services, those who know me know that this organisation has been a very large part of my life. When I was 10 yrs old my mum Sharyn Potts started working at Yarredi, I started working in the children’s program in school holiday programs when I was 15. I left Port Lincoln when I was 20 and returned to a role as a case manager in 2016.
Yarredi Services is a not for profit non government organisation, the work that it takes to be heard as a remote, regional organisation takes significant effort especially to a metro centric sector from a funding perspective. I have absolutely relished my time at Yarredi, the passion I have for supporting women and children who have experienced DFV will always be a part of who I am. Thank you to all who support this amazing, much needed organisation and who have supported me.
Signing off x Mish
